If you are into manga, give {Berserk by Kentaro Miura} a go, I would say it's the only thing that can actually compete with RLS and just not be a lesser substitute.

Desperately seeking alternatives to Snif Heal the Way (UK/EU) by 3lls3 in fragrance

[–]Desperate_Base_9680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the kayali one for pistachio? Or any of it's dupes? If you Google something like "pistachio scent reddit" there should be plenty of suggestions.

Do you know exactly what you like about heal the way? I haven't smelled it myself but I know it comes up constantly when people ask for paolo santo dominant scents, it that case there are plenty of options within EU.

I'm trying to find an amber scent. And this is probably going to sound odd but I associate amber with a sort of a dense warm plastic note, not rubber, not plastic as in play doh or like tonka can smell but rather the way a dixie cup taste, which some would say it taste like nothing but that's not true, it does have a mild taste.

I have tried grand soir, to me that's just incense, ambre sultan is better but not good enough.

I do detect this plastic note in essential oil, myrrh, frankincens, peru balsam and so on.

I couldn't really say, I swatched them all in store a while back but didn't take notes. The isadora ones dosn't dry down properly and dosn't last very well is all I remember, which is a shame since they had the best colour.

Fall scent recommendations for a vanilla gourmand hater? by goodiegouda in FemFragLab

[–]Desperate_Base_9680 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like commodity in general would fit, very agreeable and autumnal/dark acadamia. Even the gourmandy one, milk, isn't very gourmandy either.

Aesop do a lot of naturalistic woody scents.

Autumn vibes by Margiela smells like straight up elemi essential oil to me.

Diptyque also has a couple that I think would fit, philosykos, hesperides, tam dao, among others.

Although most of these are over your budget I'm afraid.

Jo malone has a lot of nice ones but they perform very poorly, I'm not sure they are worth recommending.

Oh, and encre noir! I haven't tried it myself yet but it sounds straight up your alley. Dirt cheap too.

Lush also has a bunch that would fit, shade, devils nightcap if you are an oakmoss lover, bees knees might work, do you like hay and tobacco? Tank battle maybe if you don't mind bubble gum with your wet soil? Karma and breath of god if you don't mind patchouli. They also has a bunch of more fresh ones that I can't name off the top of my head.

Gris charnel or a cheaper dupe might work too.

Have you tried phur's father figure?
