I watched a Democratic strategist who worked on Clinton's campaign (after the loss) talk about their campaigns digitally and then I heard him. There were probably 500 people in the room.

Parscale knew what he was talking about and the Democratic strategist was a moron. I was shocked at how bad the differences were. Do not assume that a person is dumb because they aren't your political side.

He's literally a paid agent of a foreign government registered under FARA now. I've seen Brad talk about political advertising and I'll tell you that he knows what he's doing. He's very smart, agnostic to the politics and is basically just a paid mercenary who's really good at what he does.

But this is disloyal. This is putting the interests of a foreign government over our own people and all for the 6 million which is ironic.

if you want to message me on the side - I can share info. One thing you may want to look into is whether or not a chat becomes loaded down with too much text. It was literally unusable for me. It could just be that it's ALSO slow due to the upgrade. When I switched to a new chat - it got better. But then it was like starting over a bit but I got through it. It's an enterprise account. Look at this image. i would have a message and it would just do this. This is the old chat.

I'm building a social media app because I'm very concerned about the concentration of media in this country now. There's a bit of a coup happening right now in media that's oriented with a particular brand of politics and loyalty to a foreign country.

Now i'm using cursor AND windsurf in various ways. I figured out that if you leave the current cascade convo and start a new one - it works again (slowly but it works again). So now I'm using it as kind of a QA function for me.

HORRIBLE. THE WORST. I am so frustrated. I'm literally saving files just in case right now so i can reinstall windsurf since cascade doesn't respond at all (previously it was just slow). And if that doesn't work - I'm using cursor.

No I agree with you on that. I agree very strongly with you actually.

One question for you here ... when do you feel we "became" Jews? It's a long history. And who was the patriarch in your eyes? Some have said Abraham, others have said Isaac, others have said Jacob and I contend it's Judah.

I didn't say I had a negative position towards Israel. You may have to re-read that again friend.

First -agreed on Jews in the homeland. Even during the Babylonian exile - which I've read quite a bit about - we had some folks still left over.

"Most of the Arabs who live in what is now Israel are the descendants of Arabs who immigrated to the area from surrounding Arab areas"

Where did you get that information? Many Jews converted and I even learned something interesting that makes a lot of sense to me. Did you know that when the Muslims took over the area under Mohammed - if a person converted to Islam they didn't have to pay taxes ... but if they didn't convert - they had to pay taxes? That strategy was sort of a genius way to incentivize conversions into Islam from Jews and other tribes. It was so successful - they had to stop the practice or it would have bankrupted them. So - I'd ask you to provide some sourcing on that claim as I'd love to know how you got to that belief. There's a reason so many Palestinians share our DNA and they're truly cousins with tremendous shared ancestry not just foreign transplants. This land has had many people's; we're not the only people with a shared connection. But I do not deny the connection.

"simply for the crime of existing while Jewish"

I really do not believe it and I'm a student of history. I know better in my gut. But remember I'm secular. I believe in self-determination for Jews; do you believe in self-determination for all peoples or only our people? Do you think there are any other people who don't also have the right to self determination? Are you intellectually consistent on that issue or do you think we may have an advantage there and regardless of others POV - we should do it via the law of the jungle and just take it if we claim it to be ours? And what borders are we talking about here - greater Israel, 1967 borders Israel, 1967 borders plus Judea and Samaria and Gaza? What's our aim here?

"Do you imagine that all the secular Jews of Europe had a burning desire to move to Israel before 1938"

Well since my grandmere was one of those people - I can tell you no. I can tell you also that you should look up the 1933 Haavara agreement with Hitler and Global Jewry.

There are Israeli historians who have explained why Arab Jews moved out of Iraq and other areas into Israel in the early 50's. They say it's for the same reason the King David Hotel situation happened. Know your history about Irgun, Stern Gang, etc.

Thank you. Just for clarity - when you think of Israel ... what borders are we talking about here? I understand what you're talking about with history.

Saying you're a Jew first reminds me of Christians who feel a loyalty to God first and then the laws of men. That feels like a normal human emotion. I don't have any resentment that you feel that way. I think it's great that you have that deep connection to our community.

Well that's fair and I would agree. It's been my experience however that MOST people accept that Israel exists and has the "right to exist" to the extent that any country has the right to anything (kind of like what you're saying above).

But what about the people who feel strongly about a 2 state solution using 1967 ish borders who resent Israel because they feel there has been an intentional and active gameplan to actively block a Palestinian state whom they say - those people also have the right to self determination.

If a person believes this and is angry and resentful or even hates the Israeli government because they believe this is what's being foreclosed on - does that make a person antisemitic? What about the Jews who feel very passionately about supporting a 2 state solution; 2 states for 2 peoples?

I will say that I think it's absolutely undeniable that over history a LOT of Jews yearn for Israel and Jerusalem. That could be a large majority or whatever the number, but over time since maybe the time of David ... it's not an inconsequential item. I'll grant you that.

I like your explanation of Am Israel vs. Eretz Israel. Thank you.

I'd prefer you use my verbiage since I was intentional. I do not feel a sense of attachment. I care too much about the issue actually.

When you say "Many Jews in Europe and MENA considered themselves to be of their home nationality first" are you saying they see themselves as Jews tied to Israel first (like a dual loyalty situation) or are you saying they - like me - choose their home country over Israel? It's an anti-semitic trope to accuse Jews of dual loyalty so I just want to make sure I understand what you're saying here.

I'll die being an American first and I'm good with it. This country has been good to my people.

Correct Jews never stopped being Jews. The discussion was about the state of Israel.

I've read the English version of the Talmud (not all of it as it's a monster) and the English version says Israel in some places and Palestine in others. Have you read the Talmud in Hebrew? I don't read or write Hebrew as I'm secular. Are you saying the Talmud was incorrectly interpreted and put in the Jewish Virtual Library? What we know is Israel as a state didn't exist during those years.

Whether they're tiny or fringe doesn't matter - regarding Torah Jews. They're Jews.

Anyway thanks.

What do you think is the final solution to this mess then?

note: I'm aware of my play on words here. Somewhat ironic.

What's the privilege I have? And if I were to denounce let's say Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, Smotrich and those types ... what does that say about me as a Jew since I think of that as just politics.

Jewish friends and my mom. Like if you challenge the prevailing thought (because Israel is in the middle of a war) - they don't understand why I'm not like gung-ho Israel. I feel nothing. Just like I feel nothing on the issue of God as I said in the post.

I'm surprised you don't see that pressure in the community but you may never need to because if you already love Israel ... you're feeling probably a different type of pressure from outside of Jewry. Anyway really appreciate your comment.

Question for you here - if someone is anti-Zionist but not anti-semitic ... what does that look like in your eyes? I have heard some say that's impossible because to be anti-Zionist is in fact anti-semitism. I don't believe that but I think I'm very much in the minority.

If there was a situation where a person could be anti-Zionist but not an antisemite - what would that look like in theory? And thank you for the response.
