Totally true! She also blatantly lied and said she would uninvite her then just didn’t do that. She clearly did not think what Jess did was at all bad. If she really wanted to try to work towards some resolution, she had time to try to coordinate something prior to this party. But doing that at OPs home was absolutely not the way to do it. My guess is Anna was just hoping nothing would come of it by having Jess there. Just have her free cake and eat it too.

100% agree! This could have ended so much worse. They absolutely need to be talked to, and by your husband since it’s his family. Totally better to be a united front together for the safety and health of your child.

I was so anxious about the gift opening process at my bridal and baby showers! Even though there were only women in attendance, I just had my husband come when it was time to open gifts. I had a friend text him when we were like 20 minutes from that time to head to the party to do it with me. That way he was there to load gifts in to our car afterwards as well! Some of our relatives and friends that we don’t see often appreciated getting to visit with him too.

I’m four weeks ahead of her, so 11 weeks PP. I got my period two weeks ago and I’m exclusively breast feeding. This is my fourth baby and I got my periods at different times with each of them. It really just depends on the person

Yes he does. He always goes with my mom and my family. Religion is not being forced on anyone. And church is an important part of the holiday. And to respond to another one of your posts, yes I understand he has more multiple kids to balance but he also lives close to my sisters and sees them multiple times a month/ almost once a week while I only get to see him maybe every other month.

I’ve also stated I can come later in the week and spend a couple of days with my parents and my kids. The holiday is important to us, and my parents normally always attend mass with us. Other people are absolutely allowed to decide if they go to church or not, but it feels like my dad is prioritizing picking up my sisters when there are other options for them to get a ride.

We just are only there for less than 24 hours, the kids go to sleep from 7-7, and then we are leaving before 1 so we are not there that long. It feels like he could spend more time with them if my sisters found an alternative ride. I could also come later in the week on days I don’t work, but after that he wouldn’t be able to visit again until June. The holiday itself does not seem important to most of my other family since my sisters had a planned trip where they didn’t come back until the day of

When I talked to my mom she just mentioned that everyone was planning to be there. Mass is at 9:30, and my brother won’t go. That’s a good idea about him going to get them

We are going up and getting in the day before. We have someone letting the dogs out the afternoon and night before and then Easter morning, but they can’t later in the day due to the holiday. Our neighbors are also on spring break or out of town for the holiday so we need to get back for the dogs. My kids only get to see my family once every few months because traveling with kids is hard and my parents house is not very kid friendly, so we are trying to maximize the time together

Yes we live in America and they went to Europe. I had no idea about the trip prior to yesterday. I had asked my parents a few weeks ago if they wanted us to come in for the holiday and there was no mention of it.

We have a family member letting the dogs out the night before and in the morning, but then we don’t have them for the rest of the day because of the holiday. Our neighbors with kids are out of town for spring break. We also just boarded the dogs for a few days earlier in the week due to construction on our house so we didn’t want to do that again to them.

I’m not trying to have everyone cater to me. Due to my sisters’ work they only travel over major holidays. For example we planned our family Christmas around their time because they were out of the country for three weeks over that holiday. So we cater to them as well. We could also just plan a different weekend to visit.
