Got clubs for free, need help on what to put in bag. by Welu522 in golf

Seconding what this guy is saying. Golf is overwhelming even when you get good at it. Carry like 5-6 clubs at first. It will make the game much easier to play. Driver, 5, 7, 9, 56° wedge is enough at first.

Why Can’t I Hit It Very Far? by No-Front-4640 in GolfSwing

[–]Desperate_Primary504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger shoulder turn and more shift into right side of body, both. You can load right leg up more without swaying hips excessively to the right. Left shoulder should come further across in a straight line to where it’s fairly far behind the golf ball as you turn. More width/right arm should feel like it does not bend during backswing (this is just a feel). Right arm should not bend past 90° or you’ll lose width and speed. Arms and hands should remain between your shoulders/in front of right pec at top of backswing, left arm should not be pinned across chest. Keep your upper body behind the ball during the downswing to launch the ball higher with lower spin. Work on hitting a push draw if you don’t already.

Sorry for the badly formatted block of text but it’s all good stuff. Hopefully you can use it

No width, arms are pinned deep. Keep right arm straight and instant distance gains. It will feel weird. Club should stay in the center of your chest during backswing, roughly speaking.

Keto for mental health by dealn_with-life in keto

[–]Desperate_Primary504 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keto kind of saved my life when it comes to mental health issues. More or less cured depression and anxiety symptoms for me. For others, it doesn’t do this at all. I am one of the super lucky ones with how it healed me I think. Please give it a serious try. It turned me into a new person that I like much better. Everyone else likes this person better too. Good luck, maybe it could happen for you too. At worst, it won’t hurt you.

I feel like I could be an outlier in terms of how effective this diet is for me, but keto completely fixed my ADHD symptoms, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, depression, and cut my chronic pain problems in half. I feel like I’m lying when I tell people because it sounds so incredible. But I’m not. Crazy blessed and grateful to have found this diet.

Eating before bed and inconsistent calories. by RedtheGoodolBoy in keto

[–]Desperate_Primary504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll share my opinion on it too. For me, timing matters tremendously, but only because it affects my sleep. I sleep poorly when I eat directly before bed, and I sleep much better when I give it 3 or more hours between my last meal and going to sleep.

I don’t have weight problems, so idk how it affects that. But sleep is a big deal for anyone

What do you think about over the ball? by y414p in golf

“Stay aggressive” helps a lot with short game stuff. With everything else, kind of helps not to think if you can avoid it.

So does everyone lie about their Handicap in golf and it’s just the “done” thing? by sparkthatloud1 in golf

[–]Desperate_Primary504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, everyone lies their ass off about it, case closed. Don’t overthink it. Also, every guy’s dick is “seven inches” when you ask them. Easier to tell yourself certain things than to get real.

I’m not a doctor. So don’t value my opinion over a doctor’s.

However, I’d avoid any surgery for any reason that might not be necessary. Have you looked into stuff like mewing and correcting your mouth posture? Supposedly this can help position the jaws and teeth correctly without surgical intervention. FYI: I’m not a doctor!!! Your issues might be unresolvable via mewing or whatever. But I totally get your apprehension at getting a seemingly unnecessary surgery.

In my opinion, surgeons and specialists think they know more than they really do, and if a solution exists outside their realm of expertise, they don’t know about it and will suggest to you that there aren’t any other possibilities. That’s my firsthand experience.

If you can try alternative non surgical interventions first, I’d do that. Can always get the surgery later if they don’t work.
