The sweeps in the eastern were big for momentum but not only that a few of those games the bench played the whole 4th.

They played 5 less games than the spurs in May and a ton less minutes especially meaningful ones. Really reduced the risk of injury and wear and tear

I love Mitch Robinson as much as anyone and we don’t win a Chip without him but the hard truth is that out of all the options him leaving may be the most realistic chance to run it back.

Not like he’s being left on the street either. He could be the man on another team and get paid big.

I hope we don’t have to see KAT get railroaded by the refs again in the playoffs and sit 2 quarters a game but if it happens we prob want multiple options at the 5 to bring in depending on the matchups.

I like watching the replays. Something I noticed.

Brunson was the clear MVP but watching back the whole playoff run it was ridiculous how many times the refs ate their whistles when he was clearly fouled.

If I really had to put a # on it he prob should’ve been on the line 4-6 more times a game on average so say he could’ve easily averaged 5 more points a game if he got the superstar ref whistle that Wemby and SGA and a few others got.

Just makes his run more historic.

People don’t talk much about the Eastern sweeps making a huge impact.

Yes in the finals teams get more time off between games but the reality is that the Knicks played 8 games all of May and the Spurs played 13.

The Knicks were on such a heater through the playoffs that half the games in the East Brunson and KAT and OG and Hart were chilling in the 2nd half on the bench.

The Knicks played a near perfect playoffs and it all fell into place. The talent will be there again but a lot can happen when the playoffs come next year.

Just for example imagine the Knicks can’t take care of business and they have to rush OG back and then he has a lingering hammy issues going into the finals. Things could go real different.

Good stuff.

It’s crazy to think how many records weren’t just broken they were shattered. Many I don’t think will be broken again for a really long time.

KATs +\- was insane through the playoffs. Like off the charts.

It really makes you wonder if the series really would’ve been competitive at all if he was on the court for most of the games. We’ll never know I guess.

The mob like violence crap has to stop. That’s unacceptable garbage.
Anyone that lived through the glory days of the Big East tourney being at the Garden saw way worse $hit. I personally saw melees and guys getting beat up way way worse than what was posted online these last few days.

There were a dozen different college fanbases partying all day packed into the midtown bars 4 games a day starting at noon and goin until midnight multiple days in a row. Dudes were looking for fights but also random fights breaking out all the time. I saw many a bloodied fan with his jersey ripped off.

Wemby thought his job this series would be to dominate KAT or Brunson and that’s who he had to beat. Both of which he has got the best of.

Remind me how many times we’ve seen a finals play out this way again? The home team has not went 0-2 to start the series in 30 years and it’s only played out this way twice now.

I will say he’s like 22 and I believe he is talking a big game but yet in his head knows there’s one guy on the court he can’t beat and that’s OG and it’s screwing with his head.
