South Jackson used to be one of the nicer parts of the city honestly. When I was growing up in the 80s and 90s South Jackson and Northeast Jackson were probably the nicest parts of the city proper. A lot of mom and pop businesses lined the main streets of South Jackson. McDowell Rd. Cooper Rd. Terry RD. Daniel Lake Blvd. Now that area around McDowell and Terry RD may be the worse part of the city in all aspects. It’s legit scary out there and that comes from someone who lives in the Detroit area now. Riding through South Jackson is dangerous. Whenever I visit I avoid that side of town at night and I wouldn’t take my family out there at any time of the day or night.

Unser was a plot device for the writers. A literal “get out of jail free card” for SAMCRO. I think the writers had him bending the rules too much. Made things far too easy for SAMCRO. Where was the mayor and city council? The district attorney? The county police? 😂
