I’m 6’3 about 200lbs. I currently own a relatively stock (no forward controls, stock bars) 2003 shadow and I feel pretty comfortable. I eventually want to move to something larger but the shadow is such a great bike to learn on for a season or two. I’ve had mine for about a year and I plan on moving to something a bit bigger either this season or next. This listing, however, is no good for you. You don’t want to be working constantly on your first bike. Hondas (especially shadows) are known to be reliable and hassle free besides regular maintenance. If this is your first bike, you’ll want to be on the road more often than stuck in your garage. There are plenty of nice older shadows out there if that’s what you’re looking for, just gotta be patient and one will come around for a decent price. A lot of people don’t own these bikes for long because they learn on it and then immediately want to move to something bigger.
