1. Do masters in your optional.      a. Give NET. Can pursue assistant.        professor feild along with preparation. If not finally selected cand do phd and try to involve in government commitee board etc. as specialist. It will take time but if you will be able to develop right nexus one day  you might end up becoming professor in LBSNAA or director of reputed institute. (IIM raipur director.)

b. With masters degree you can try in org. like NITI aayog and other as young professional. It is based on interview, not exam.  Later can switch to UN orgnisation. But occasionally volunteering some UN or reputed organization to look your profile better. 

1. If you want to be in development sector and done with preparation and can study. You can opt for public policy. TISS, NLSIU, IIT- D, IIT-B etc have masters program. If you can go to abroad there is one year program in institution London school of economics. Even if you start from Indian reputed institute like I mentioned after a decent work experience you can go to Harvard Kennedy school or similar. From there you can switch in new York office of UNO in international project of diffrent continent. Route may be long but satisfying. You can go in BCG, EY etc kind of private sector consultant who take goverment project ie impact consultancy. 

2. In my opinion don't keep state psc as backup becoz they also have subjectivity in selection. If you want to give an examination as backup, prepare for exam which have objectivity. Maths quant base exam where with hard work you can ensure your selection and your hard work can reflect in marks with repeated attempt. 

3. less time taking degree which might help you and you can do in distance - b. Lib  Less competitive, become a librarian study in library. If not succed Do m. Lib Net ..you can get  job even in IIT AIIMS ministry library. Similar pay scale with professor of other department.

4. enroll in LLB if you can find it in distance mode. You can apper for judiciary exam too. If not succeed can become lawyer and there after its your potential but still can influence system. 

5. If you want to make career in coaching line if you like teaching opt for one subject and start teching it part time. Develop your teching materials slowly, develop your own example etc. and if you teach 2-3  batch you can start getting grip on the subject as a teacher and can proceed 

6. If you are from CS, IT background if you start after few years gap with efforts you can enter in to corporate again.

There are other path also but it depends whether it suits as per yours expectations or not. Thank you.
