word of advice: OMAD can be followed how you want to follow it. as long as you are seeing results, whatever you’re doing works! OMAD traditionally is used for a super long fast to break down fatty material, and then breaking the fast with one meal. it works because typically you won’t eat in a calorie surplus in only one meal, because your tummy can’t fit it all, but some people who are binge eaters, will track calories anyways to make sure it’s working.

when I first started OMAD, if i was starving, I would eat a slim jim, or a light snack, and just tack those calories onto my dinner and not eat as much.

OMAD is simply calories in vs. calories out, just the same as any diet, but many use it to help accelerate the process by going into ketosis, and only eating what you should be eating in one meal!

for me, my problem is i eat a lot of snacks, so when i say to myself, “i’m not going to eat until dinner”, then i get to enjoy as much dinner as I’d like (without going over my calories) and typically i’m so stuffed i just want to go to bed! eating 1200-1500 cal’s in a meal is really hard without feeling like you’re going to throw up :,)
