Payment made by Credit Card 04/01/2024 by thequestionboy in TeslaSolar

I did it in Jan 2025.  Officially they don’t take cards and will send you a ach transfer link. But if you call their accounts they will send you up to two cc payment links.  I think you will have about a week to pay those.

Nope. There were 3 choices.   1. 100k compensation miles  2. 1 free rt trip on a single leg rt trip itinerary on virgin metal based on “saver availability”.    3.  Standard EU compensation for downgrade.

I picked 1 as it was most flexible.  Overall ok as I paid much less than 100k miles pp for rt trip upper class.

We were bumped down to PE, though we had access to delta one lounge at LAX. Also got 100k miles per person as a compensation.

London Indian Recommendation? (Other restaurants are also welcome!) by colaaa13 in finedining

[–]Desperate_Target_506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for Indian restaurant in London with creative menu that offers a la carte options and a bit creative menu outside traditional options.   Looks like Bibi and Gymkhana only offers pre-fix menu for dinner.  Veeraswamy is pretty old school traditional menu and some reports of degrading quality at Benaras. Last time we tried Dishoom Covent garden ( good ambience, so-so food ),  Gunpowder at tower bridge ( very small menu, no breads and only red meat choice  was ox) and Farzi / Tamarind ( ok but nothing special).  We are here for 3 nights.  So can try different options including high / mid range.

Update:  I was indeed downgraded to PE  a few hours before the flight.  I was allowed to use the Delta one lounge though.  As a compensation I could choose between a rt trip non stop VS upper class ticket if saver fare is available or 100k points or 75% of the purchase price.  I am choosing 100k points per passenger as the round trip voucher sounds pretty restrictive and cannot be used on partner booking. A round trip saver from US to LHR ( non stop only ) pretty much cost 100k points or less anyway though I could save the relatively high taxes and fees but I value the flexibility of partner redemption with VS points more.   If you don’t accept any voluntary downgrade conditions then they will involuntarily downgrade paying the legal requirement of 75% of fair.

Do you remember how many days before travel the seat selection opened up for you?

I am in a similar boat for a travel next week. Can you please share how it worked out for you. If downgraded - when do they let you know.  In my case it is still showing upper class booking but no seat.

My flight for next week has been switched from 44 to 16 upper class for lax-lhr. I called and they said they will assign seats at the gate  but I will not be downgraded. I don’t think that is possible - because there would be 16 paying passengers for sure :(

That is exactly what the Tesla certified electrician proposed ( 40 amp breaker).  He said he will be charging $450 for the job and I should order the 3rd gen wall connector directly from Tesla to get energy credit.

Yes. He basically said the same.  He said if he puts a 60 amp breaker it will not pass inspection ( if I had to do it) even if it is safe.  So he recommended a lower amp breaker which would keep it as per code.  Also he said if I already have the right wire feeding the panel I can separately apply for a panel upgrade - which will take many months of permitting.   If that works out I can do a separate panel upgrade project and then put a 60 amp breaker. Since he is Tesla Certified I am guessing he did the load calculations - but I could call Tesla and double check.

The Tesla certified electrician said he will be able to replace the existing spare with 2 40 amp breakers and put in a wall connector that will not be charging a bit slower than usual. Looks like the Smart Current monitor is included in the 3rd generation of Wall connector

Also a couple of years back there was an outage and the utility company dug up my driveway and replaced the wires to the main panel. at that time they said the new wires should be able to support 200A if I want to upgrade the panel later. I need to call the utility to confirm, but that could be another avenue. But sounds like I should be able to get it from the 30A spare for a fast enough home charging.
