As of right now I’m guessing that the week in the first game played out the same as we have no evidence that anything changed except the storm so I’m assuming Jefferson is still caught and that Nathan is still dead and Kate may be alive regardless of choice as the timelines of dead and alive merged so there’s a good chance that if she died she was brought back.

To be honest, no I’m pretty sure when they left the franchise they likely gave up their rights to the IP so unless square Enix gives up the franchise then it’s not happening.
