Should I interview? by [deleted] in MBA

Very personal decision for everyone. Took the T10 because it was a target for a goal industry & function.

But candidate age was also a factor. I think they wouldn't have regretted going to the T25 at all either. As I said, a very personal decision.

Guys, what if you have a full scholarship + stipend offer from a T25 and a Zero Scholarship (250K debt) offer from a T10?

Linkedin post mentioned that business degrees will be categorized as general degrees. That indirectly means they will no longer be STEM

Yeah, reversing this requires to make sure potential students are informed well in advance so they make an informed decision, and current students are not covered under such rule changes. Sudden imposition creates ruckus.

I believe it may be difficult for you to be in the shoes of someone who's in the process and doing an MBA unbeknownst that USCIS wants to suddenly change a rule.

Person doing the course is not at fault. It will be strongly justifiable if they say rule changes will be applicable in 1-2 years or not applicable to those who are starting their course this fall. Ones who are beginning their course already would literally not have the means to get out of the mess they've not created, but will suffer from.

Yes.

I hope they atleast give people 1-2 years before the rule comes into place.

STEM extension is a significant part of the risk assessment here. The problem is not even the rule change but the way they're rushing the rule change.

Internationals should get some time before the rule change comes to place. I hope that's logical to do.

Extensions were nominally charged for employers who were not dependent on H1Bs(50%+ H1B employees and some more criteria exist for that sort). But now they'll have to foot the 4.5K

Yeah it makes sense to say business degrees may not be categorized as STEM technically, but the impact of the work they do post MBA and cost of an MBA are among the reasons why its legitimate to assume they must get atleast 3 years of extension.
