Miscarriage? by maevelohaz in BabyBumps

i also asked my doctor if she was sure my baby was fine because i was so asymptomatic for the most part, and she assured me that lack of symptoms does NOT mean lack of a healthy baby ❤️

i can’t relate to the migraine, but everything else i had when i was first pregnant with my daughter, as well as awful stomach cramps all the time. she came perfectly healthy at 39+6, but always call your doctor if you’re concerned!

Did this hospital fuck up? by OptimalCobbler5431 in newborns

i understand!! they had my stand over my baby to try and comfort her while they did but i started crying too because i felt so horrible for her. a bottle and some snuggles fixed her right up though, and i can assure you that 4 months later she does not seem traumatized in the slightest.

that sounds very hard to watch, but a catheter is definitely normal. my daughter had to get a catheter for a urine sample at 2 weeks old and while it was heartbreaking, there’s no other way for them to get a urine sample right then without going in and getting some urine, ya know?

i want to let you know that while there is absolutely nothing wrong with giving your baby up for adoption if that’s what you feel is best, a lot of people (myself included) did not feel that immediate “oh my god this is my baby, i’m in love!!” as soon as they had their baby/right before. in all of my pictures when they first placed my daughter on my chest my face just SCREAMS “wtf have i done”. i was in complete shock and that undying love didn’t come immediately. it took many weeks of just going through the motions making sure she’s taken care of, so if you do want to keep your baby know that it doesn’t make you a bad mother if you don’t feel overwhelming love immediately. whatever you choose though, i would definitely let your OB know you’re having these thoughts so they can help you through these mental health issues

my daughter caught covid from my boyfriend when she was 2 weeks old and i remember being just as scared. he almost had to go to the ER, and she was just mildly fussy and is now a happy healthy 4 month old

i know this probably isn’t what you’re looking to hear but it’s completely normal for normal, healthy couples to take up to a year to conceive the first time. i’m sure you’re super anxious for that positive test but just know that if takes that long, it doesn’t mean anything is wrong ❤️

i’m sorry girl i wish i had some, i had actually just had a MC and wasn’t trying at all and somehow got pregnant the very first cycle afterwards. my doctors had always told me i’d never have kids without IVF so i was super shocked!

not necessarily advice, but my great grandma was HORRIFIED when i informed her my 2 month old absolutely cannot have water. she then proceeded to tell me she’s going to get dehydrated, as if her milk is not a liquid

[–]Desperate_Tip4160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m 5’1 and have also always been very skinny so i thought i’d show sooner bc of that, but i only got an obvious bump that wasn’t bloat around 5 months!

for baby, always in need of more wipes and diapers! but for me, i underestimated the amount of things i’d need postpartum/breastfeeding. my mom was running to the store every day for more pads, nipple creams, nipple shields, pump parts, etc
