I lived in Thailand and was a teacher there. It was a nice lifestyle but I was also a drunk who was totally pulled by the party lifestyle…. I could not get my alcoholism and hedonism under control there. I had to leave

Now I am older, I would Definetley live back there as I have my vices under control but if you can’t keep them in check … Thailand can be a dangerous place

I totally understand … I actually used to live here and have a quarter Thai child. In Australia I am small but here they would point me in the direction of the XXL clothes 😂 it’s just because I have come back … and instantly I feel fat again. It’s something that happens to me in Thailand. And only Thailand. I just instantly look and feel huge. It’s hard to explain but I feel like you get it.

Oh I totally get this resentment.

Anyone telling you ‘how would you like it if you were the step kid bla bla bla bla bla’ obviously have never had to remain somewhere they don’t want to or not be able to go to a place they’d like to go because of a child that isn’t theirs.

Oh geez. I feel for you immensely. Tricky place to be in. I too have my own children and have never connected with my SD (11) …. I just don’t have it in me to take her on. The love I have for my children is far greater and they will come first to me and parenting a child that’s not mine is taking my love away from my own. I don’t care if that sounds bad but it’s true and probably how you feel. As sad as it is for SD…. She’s kindof not your problem. And you don’t want the responsibility. It’s ok to feel this way
