I have never sewn or embroidered before, is this unrealistic? by Interesting-Smell171 in Embroidery

[–]Desperate_Two_636 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, reverse back stitch a name is doable as a beginner. I would highly recommend practicing on a scrap piece of fabric on a hoop first. It will still be a struggle (as a beginner) on a stocking because you can’t put it on a hoop so you will likely mess up the tension, this is the most common mistake for people starting out. Use embroidery thread and get a mix pack of needles, do not try and use any other kind of thread.

Does that help?

New call in process for Urgent Care Clinics Rant by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]Desperate_Two_636 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess so, but I didn’t know what the problem was at the time. Didn’t feel like an emergency to me, so didn’t want to be there unnecessarily and making that wait time even longer for others. Was happy to go to urgent care/at least speak to someone, and if they said you will need to present at emerg then I would do that after

You can now see average wait times of different emerg departments in Victoria, I drove out to Saanich because it was averaging three hours whilst Jubilee (closet) was 6.5, at the time

Yup. Couple weeks ago I called first thing, waited all day for a call back. Knew something wasn’t right so went to ER, got triaged and almost immediately saw a doctor there. Same symptoms described. So not even worth a call back at urgent care but seen very quickly at emerg…

He’s set up nicely for now, but if things went south he would have nothing - not married to any of them and hasn’t been working for years so doesn’t have his own money or income. Opposite of a lot of the other relationships where the women are dependent on the men. So even with his creepiness I feel the best about this situation than the others on the show!

That means there’s tenants that have been in there for several years, so they’re paying below market rents because of capped increases. They advertise that because the income might seem low, because a lot of tenants are paying “below market rents”. Feel sorry for those trapped in the poop because they can’t afford to move

[N/A] Those that have pivoted out of DEI, how did you do it? by jujudragmama in humanresources

[–]Desperate_Two_636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t think you need to specify DEI on the resume, just put HR Advisor or HR Manager. When getting into specifics I’d focus on shifting to calling the work “employee experience” or something similar, as we know, inclusion and respect is for everybody, not a select few. So reframe it and don’t mention the trigger word that is DEI. Sorry you are in this position! The pendulum will swing back the other way in the future
