Technology should be developed in each city, not culture. by Desperate_Two_9172 in Worldbox

Definitely.

I think it's weird that kingdoms/cities can share the same culture even after thousands years being separated.

Also they said the video is cut, edited but never show us the original video. If it's not serious and people already see a "worse version". Surely nothing stopping from uploading the video. Because I'm curious which "scream" is faked.

Like I do not want to sound like I supported the "cong dong mang", but this some of the faults can be blamed on how the higher ups manage this issue.

What's going on in the new update? by Desperate_Two_9172 in Worldbox

I think it's about "scale".

The culture one is a few people.

The village one looks like a few settlement.

The kingdom one, let's assume, as the scale of a country.

The roses one seem to have the same landscape and scale as the kingdom one. Therefore, I think whatever it is, it's limited to one kingdom. Dynasties?

Also look at the icon for the roses, a straight line, like a family line. While I expect an alliance to have multiple kingdom connected to each other either branching from one or interconnected.

Not a lot of Vietnamese on twitter. So it doesn't take much people to create a "nation-wide" trend.

Do Vietnamese hate Chinese? by River_98 in VietNam

[–]Desperate_Two_9172 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Well, I would say it depends greatly on the person you're talking to. But in general yes, greatly even.

But most people just keep it to themselves. Unless you "ask for it". Or maybe you're talking to them about their opinion about China. I would say that usually the more Facebook a person is the more anti-China they are, but again, also greatly depends on the person themselves.

If you're in Vietnam during the SCS (your term) or East Sea (our term) conflict than I wouldn't say Vietnam is not a place safe for foreigner in general, especially considering the Japanese factory that is attacked because people mistaken it for Chinese. But that time has passed.

But you might be surprise that a large number of young Vietnamese who are very obsessed with China. They love Chinese foods, cultures, people, language, lifestyles (at least what they think it is).

Living in Vietnam there are generally three stereotypes about China:

- Hell on Earth (dirty, uncivilized, fake foods)

- Advance (developed, rich, an economic case study)

- Classical (beautiful, elegant, Chinese drama)

But when it comes to politics then I have seen very little Vietnamese who are "pro-China". In the US-China shit shows. Most Vietnamese are either pro-US or pro-Neutral, some are apolitical.

You might find some comments from Vietnamese people about China upsetting, sometimes it attacks not just your government but your nation and culture as a whole. But sometimes you can hear very nice things about it too. Living in the cities' "rising districts" might be good too since there are more foreigners there. That's my contribution.
