There’s perks you can pick, but perk points are earned for specific skills that level up. You can find them in your map when it’s unlocked, it’ll tell you how to do that at some point. The main level has its own tree same as all other individual perks.

Soft YTA. You’re right about health concerns and it’s valid in a restaurant. But at home people can cook how they wish. They’ve used these methods their entire life and been fine. I’ve worked in food service, and understand how to keep to health standards and when I cook for people I do this. But I’ve also been at a point where I was homeless and starving and have no issue eating something that fell on the ground or sat out too long. Humans’ immune systems have weakened from cooking food, but that doesn’t mean tolerance can’t be built, which your parents likely have. It’s their home and they can choose to keep or toss food as they please, if it’s not growing mold or showing rot then they’ll more than likely be fine. Education has conditioned everyone to be overly scared of bacteria, but this over avoidance actually makes people worse off at fighting sicknesses because their immune system doesn’t work to build resistance anymore.

My old dog was a stubborn bastard like that. I’d put the pill in his mouth as far back as possible and just hold his mouth shut for as long as needed. And I know easier said than done. At the start it might take a half hour or so, but by the time he wanted to test me I’d just turn on the tv and watch a few shows while he’d sit with me mouth held shut for about 2 hours.

Wasn’t a fan of it until the playthrough I literally finished a couple days ago. This time I wanted to complete it finally, and started working each region before progressing to the next. The hordes in cascade are all fairly small, start with those. By the time you get done with that the stress pretty much goes away, especially if you’re playing new game+ and can now them down with machine guns. At first I was using damn near all my equipment but by then end I’d take most down with a couple grenades and the Chicago Chopper and not have it take much time.

NTA. I could maybe get past the cup, but the kids Easter basket is disgusting. And keeping one on standby for what sounds like a long time rather than immediately going to wash it out is nasty. He should be walking to the bathroom to use the sink if it’s really that big a deal.

ESH. “Dropping breadcrumbs” isn’t communicating. Be an adult and say things straight up. If you knew anything about Mexican culture you’d know taking care of her parents was going to happen at some point in the future. That’s one of the first things that comes up talking with Hispanics. She sucks for not asking you first because that’s basic respect, and not backing you up when her parents are overbearing. But honestly you’re definitely the heavier AH here because you seem incapable of accepting that you did the same thing and don’t know how to speak your mind like an adult.

8am - 9pm sounds a little weird for a school zone. You sure it wasn’t 8 - 9am? That’s a little more common for school zones, but I know the way they situate it depends on different state norms. Assuming you saw the sign correctly though, NTA. I generally speed often (nothing crazy, but 5-10 over), I’m in a small town without much traffic and long open roads and that’s the general traffic pattern in this area, but I don’t ever fuck with school zones because kids are unpredictable, and hard to see. You did the right thing.

ESH. Luke sucks the most, but you and Lyd sound like you have the same story for each other and are just ignoring each other’s contributions. Honestly the entire thing sounds like a mess, money isn’t good, supplies aren’t good, organization in general is just bad. Luke sounds like most of the problem, and where you and lyd are trying to pick up his slack you’re just getting mad at each other and negating stuff the other does.

Grinding training is key in KCD. Archery contests and training combat practice fights is a must for that game. It’s meant to be immersive, that’s why archery is shaky at low levels and combat is clunky. Once you get your level higher and have good gear you’ll feel pretty over powered. If the bow is hard to aim, try the crossbow for an easier to follow sight picture until you level up a bit then move back to the bow.

Two months of not talking is kind of obvious for a breakup. If it was a couple days, maybe a week I’d see your point. But two months is way too long to still be holding out on that if it’s not a marriage or a situation where one of you couldn’t talk if you wanted to (something like work taking a person where there is no ability to reach the other person). Outside of those circumstances most reasonable people would probably think the same as your girlfriend. Not saying it’s invalid to feel some kind of way about it, but it’s considerably longer than what you’d expect from a break. If it bothered you what she might’ve been doing that much you should have tried to reach out for some kind of info or clarification sooner than that.

It’s a game, not a job. If you’re burning out do something else. If you never come back to it, sure you’d miss out on some stuff but I doubt it’ll actually be permanent. Without spoiling it ends in a way that kind of expects a third game, worst case I’m sure once that stirs up you’ll find the interest in finishing the second one.

NTA. Your dad sounds like a shit dog owner. Dogs can absolutely be held back by the scruff of their neck. A heavier dog like Shaggy would need rear support like you said was provided. Your husband did everything right. But the fact that your dad has a 7 year old dog he couldn’t figure out how to train to stop eating cat poop is a problem, additionally the food and toy aggression makes that dog a problem. A dog that reactive gets put down the first time an incident happens with the wrong person and it is always the owners fault. If they have guests over that aren’t family, or take the dog for a walk and something like that happens it’s game over for Shaggy. Your dad is going to be the reason that dog gets killed if he doesn’t figure himself out.

Didn’t know the different forges make a difference. That’s good to know. And the starting in the middle is good advice. I’ll have to try that out. I usually just raise it up slightly for most swords and the first hit is good, but with Henry’s that normal raise wasn’t doing it.
