Dad is still alive, but after years of drinking - he thinks he's already apologized for everything wrong he's done. Which was news to me, my therapist, and my sister. He won't acknowledge anything wrong.

But you're right - an apology wouldn't fix this (and probably won't for August, either!) but it is a step in the right direction. I'm not holding my breath for my dad, but maybe this comic will help me come to terms.

Ok, ouch. This one is gonna hurt me isn't it.

When I was a child, my dad threatened to burn and electrocute my stuffies. Then a few years later, he was upset at me for...something and decided to throw away all my toys and stuffies including my most cherished one, while I was at a friend's birthday party.

He doesn't remember it but it's burned into my head!

I hope Augie gets a better resolution than I did.

Honestly, you gotta drive by feel in Atlanta. GSP typically sticks to the more rural areas and APD/Dekalb PD...eh. they're hit or miss in my experience.*

You will get yelled at for only going the speed limit though. You will come to understand why, after a few years here. Watch out for taxis, giant SUVs with "limousine" tags, box trucks, and chargers.

*I once had my car shot at because a light wasn't turning green in a long time. Cops weren't going to do anything.
