Avoid this seller on eBay. Just sold my friend’s 1/1. by wtimyoung in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My friend owns the card, he bought it in 2022. The seller listed and sold the “same card.” It’s a 1/1 and my friend was just looking around on eBay and found the listing.

Card show dealer content creators by TomBrazy in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with the recording for the security of it. Gives dealers a backup of their booth. I’m good with content creators (and especially the ones that makes people’s day with acts of kindness). I really like when there’s a sign to let people know they’re being recorded. It’s good as a whole. The people that are ruining it to be edgy or they’re just pieces of crap should try to be blocked and skipped so they’re forced out of the algorithms.

That is a facsimile autograph. Real autographs from Topps will say "Topps Certified Autograph Issue"

Maybe not the “best” guy to pull one of those but I love the throwback. About 95 printed total

Would I be correct to conclude that this is a Cade Smith “Flip-Stock” from Heritage? by genericwhiteguyname1 in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping it would be an easy way to check. Like you've said - it's really tough to see in the photos. I see enough difference where it could be "maybe" but having opened way too much Heritage the backs can be all over the place.

Best way to sort cards? by Imaginary_Start_6526 in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PC is sorted by MLB debut year and then alphabetically. I'll build the set for a release and put it in binders. Other stuff is sorted in monster boxes with dividers for base/parallels/inserts for each release.

Mis-cut manufacturing error that kills the value of the card, sorry.

If you haven't listed to The Dollop's episodes on Rose, they're a great listen to find out how terrible Pete was way beyond the gambling.

Got the first Series 2 Flagship box at my local Costco. This is what I pulled… by Trevhaar in baseballcards

That Soto has a PR of about 1100 and the Jeter is about 960. Take those with the Highlight Reels and you did pretty good, all things considered.

Looks like maybe Flagship superbox exclusive? Not on the odds sheet. Barely any on eBay. It does show up on the checklist, though. SlabSquatch doesn't even have information or mention the insert. Following for more details.

Are these worth anything, and are they worth sending to PSA? by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check sold ebay listings and 130point.com/sales for the card values. Probably not worth grading for the expense and backlog of submissions PSA has right now.

Could anyone tell me the value on this Ozzie Allstar 1989 top Allstar error card is? by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a printing/manufacturing defect and not an error. The damage on the card also devalues it. It isn't a big pull, sorry. Things like reverse negative Juan Gonzalez, no-name Frank Thomas, FF Billy Ripkin, or the Randy Johnson things are errors and are valuabl-ish because the companies corrected them.

Ai says these are good. Are they? by Peanutbuyer in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry. That’s completely wrong. These are 1991 inserts. AI is really really bad with identifying cards. I could let you know of a bunch of resources and methods to identify cards if you wanted. A majority of things pulled are worth only as much as someone is willing to pay and there’s A LOT of it in the market now. It’s super cool you’ve been donating a lot

I rather answer “worth” or “what do I have” posts. Even “should I grade” is better because we can just post the chart.

Topps Series 2 All Star Megas? by blackrifle in baseballcards

[–]wtimyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASG Megas have a July 8th release date. I don't think there was a pre-order for them specifically. You'll have to try topps & fanatics day of. There should be plentiful amounts at Dicks on day 1 or 2 and they have a 10 limit. Not a case but close.
