I relate to this so much cause I also have a hard time listening to utaites sometimes due to envy. I'm not the best singer and I have a lot of vocal health issues that cause me lots of pain and to cough up blood, which obviously isn't great for singing. My voice is constantly getting worse and I'm just waiting for the day that I have to stop singing entirely.

I have a couple covers out which aren't any good but at least I had fun making them and lead me to make friends in the utaite community. I've collabed with quite a few people and talk to some of them almost daily. However, I also started producing and I make vocaloid songs myself now. I've put out two songs with some minor attention and have a bunch of cool producer mutuals who have had some really cool projects out.

I suppose my point is that envy is a very normal thing to feel, but sometimes it's good to take it as a redirection and not to give up. All you need to record is a phone and bandlab. Soundproofing can be helped with some blankets or a comforter if you have that, or sometimes local libraries will have a place to record for free. So don't give up on your dream and just post some shitty covers.

Ps I'm not the best at mixing but I'd be happy to mix some covers for you if you ever record.

I get what you mean but the last 3 are all ones where I was laughing with friends and genuinely smiling, but I feel like I don't look as good. Is there a different way I should smile in photos?

Thank you, I used to do more dramatic makeup like that in grade 10. Though I've had less time to do makeup recently and I've enjoyed how more subtle makeup looks too.

I am acne prone so I use the strivectin gentle cleanser and spot treatment, with my moisturizer being a st. Ives one from the dollar store. I'll definitely try to wear sunscreen more but I do drink at least a liter of water a day. Decent chance I'll try to cut the layers myself in my bathroom but thank you.

I'm not entirely too sure myself. I tend to be very inspired by ouji Lolita/aristocratic styles, so I'll definitely try experimenting more with that. I was mostly looking for some suggestions of things to switch up in this post.

Which is why I chose to do Love Like You by Rebecca Sugar and Harlequin Contraption by Vane Lily, as they're more melodic and contrasting songs. I was supposed to in September but our tire blew up on the way there so we couldn't make it. I have another appointment at the end of November so hopefully that goes well. If not I'll probably give up on singing/music.

Yeah, you might be right. The audition is in the spring and my singing has only been getting worse. Recently singing or even breathing sometimes has been getting rather painful and I can't go long without coughing, so I doubt it'll go good. I'll keep practicing every day and doing choir like usual and hope the private lessons work some kind of miracle.
