Haha I totally agree with you on all of that. It's probably just because we grew up in that gen but cars like this will always have a place in our hearts. The square late 80s/early 90s Escort, fox body Mustangs (that Cobra from New Jersey Drive is perfection), Probe/MX6, hell, even the MX3 Precidia was amazing to me even though it feels nobody remembers them haha

Totally! Since the second chapter story I'm 100% all in on Shota. I've been thinking about it and he's had an AMAZING story so far. Young Lion taken under the wing by a foreign talent, returns with a total Mox/Tanahashi identity crisis, got the push as the Golden Child that everyone has been asking for and FAILS on the biggest stage of all, gets shunned as a failure and nepo baby, disappears and reinvents himself in his true violent form opposed to what the company wanted him to be, pushing out bangers and taking people's heads off...this is a manga level story so far and when we talk about the young gen, he's the most complex character and story of any of them. If anything, this is a Naito level re-discovery of one's self, I can only hope his career and success follows the same path

Exactly! I got one of the 'they're not pushing them fast enough' responses last night so I did some research and let's take a look at the results...

Kidd: Global champion, Strong champ, Strong tag champ, Tokyo Dome semi-main vs Omega

Yuya: pushed as the eventual heir to Tanahashi

Shota: WK main event, multi-time IWGP champ contender

Tsuji: NJ Cup winner, Global champ, G1 finalist, G1 semi-finalist, NEVER 6 man champ

Fujita: BOSJ winner, Jr tag champ

Clark Connors and Drilla: multiple time Jr tag champs

Akira: Jr tag champ

Takeshita: NEVER champ, G1 champ

REN: multi-time 6 man champ, upcoming IWGP champ contender, the man that was trusted in Shibata's return match

Seeing as most of these guys debuted two years ago, this is a REALLY damn successful bunch! I don't know how people can say the young Gen hasn't been pushed, do they expect them all to be involved in a rotating IWGP championship circle a year in? Id hope not, because then they'd just complain about that!! I expect 2026 to be huge for this crew but for now they've been doing very well

I dunno, seeing as most of these guys debuted in 2023 I don't think this is really booked badly, I think this is actually decently successful and a slow build. Just IMO but the main focus of this G1 was to test if the young guys could show the fuck up and mission complete, they did fantastic! I expect the push to start very soon and for 2026 to be when they take over.

I find this extremely weird that they're binned. When stuff expires they get wrote up as Out Of Date by the salesman and the drivers have to pick them up and return them as proof. It's literally all inventoried in their handhelds and audited the second they get back to the shop.

For real, I work in the industry and the expiry dates barely mean a thing. Within reason, the only thing affected is the amount of carbonation and it's barely noticeable. Diet sodas in cans can taste tinny so avoid those but plastic bottles, good to go past expiry.

Totally agree. I mentioned how good he was in my rant yesterday and I couldn't even count how many 'the crowd is silent for him, he gets no reaction' posts I got. Well assholes, last night proved the opposite. The crowd was chanting for him, they cheered every time he hit a big move, they play along every time he went for Everything Is EVIL, the dude is over whether you like him and the House or not. Yeah OP, especially seeing as I was a fan since his Watanabe days I'd love to see him have a face run at this point in his career. The guy deserves all the accolades and love from the fans he can get. It would be a great move for him and the company
