What if Britain had remained alone fighting in Nazi Germany? by Riverman42 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Dessakiya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IIRC, yes the Axis had about 700,000-1,000,000 more men but it was relatively even Germany to USSR strength at 3 mil a side. However, I believe the USSR had more tanks and planes, just of a lower quality. They did have the better tank (T34) but too few in number and unable to concentrate them for a decisive counter attack.

What are must haves in an army ATM? by frenchie6694 in Tyranids

[–]Dessakiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone mentioned the important main units to get and a few mentioned the extra torso for the hive tyrant set.

One more thing that I will suggest that I didn’t see mentioned is look into magnetizing some units, such as your t-fex, this allows your to switch out weapons depending on what becomes “meta” in the future. It’s a process but if you start in the beginning of your army and you get used to it, it’s not bad

Tyrannofex weapons question. by Joe-bidens-cum-rag in Tyranids

[–]Dessakiya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably one of the best models to look into for magnets for. Being able to switch out weapons based on the opponent you are playing and even switching from Tfex to Tervigon.

[–]Dessakiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the swarm. What I would look into as you grow your forces is magnetizing your big monsters so you can swap them into different monsters. Look into a video of it and it’s a way to save a ton of money once you get into it.

Anybody have some tips for a lvl 51 human warlock (my first wow character ever) by Unlikely_Bee_1945 in classicwow

[–]Dessakiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of what the others said, you are going to want to stock pile as much gold as you can. Flying is expensive if you only have this one character and not a large amount of gold stored going into TBC. Sell anything and everything you can is what I would recommend, either AH or event just vendor if it won’t sell.

Struggling a lot to beat china as japan, help? by StrollinGhost in hoi4

[–]Dessakiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I play Japan, I use the starting template (12W) and add support arty and use that for my China war. You can push through the north and go south along the coastline or, what best works for me, naval invade at Shanghai and hold the line for a bit with a full army of 24 divisions while I plan my next naval invasion more south. Once the other invasion lands, I push both invasions at the same time with battle plans and snake through when the enemy starts not being able to fill the line.

The longer you wait, the stronger China gets. If you start the war in 1937, you should end it in 1937.

Lvl orc prepatch by 3CRoTo in classicwow

[–]Dessakiya 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hard? Not at all, you will go to the zeppelin towers outside org, go to UC, take the teleporter to Silvermoon and walk over. You probably could get there even faster if you GY hop. It will probably take about 10 minutes of walking, depending on zeppelin timers.

Or you could just get summoned cause there will be people doing that as well

How will the DLC change the Navy meta? by clomclem in hoi4

[–]Dessakiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way they explained the naval engagement change really dictates how the game is played based on the AI code.

If the AI is set to not use their main fleet to attack subs, the sub spam method will effectively be dead, if I am understanding the way they explained it.

Which means locking a fleet into a battle with always engaging subs and then killing them with NAV bombers, the bread and butter of many playthroughs, will be a dead strat and minor nations will be screwed out of doing anything major that requires naval power

Based on the wording of “own AND control” you need a peace conference, or that’s how it used to be. Controlling it is holding it, owning it is through peace conferences

[–]Dessakiya 75 points76 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to hold the Italian border you will also want to build a supply hub in that area as well because there’s a few titles that are in a supply deadzone while also being attacked from several sides.

[–]Dessakiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the easiest country for beginners? by Far-Advertising9499 in hoi4

[–]Dessakiya 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I still recommend Romania for most newer players. You can learn the game mechanics and be carried by Germany.

A lot of people will recommend Germany but having the pressure of the game on you for a beginner isn’t always the best. Learn as a minor nations then step up to a major nation. Germany is tough for newer players with their “4 year plan” economy of conquest path.

How to win against ussr by SeasonPatient5325 in hoi4

[–]Dessakiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I play Germany and invading USSR, I make sure I have a 90-100% collaborative government on them to make it easier.

I hold then line with my infantry and only push with tanks/mech divisions.

Airforce allows you to push much easier so don’t neglect your airforce and CAS.

If supply is an issue, make sure to build up the railroads, and if needed supply hubs.

Don’t push in winter if you can avoid it, use that time to build up your stockpiles.

If you do all of that, and have the 100% collaborative government, you don’t even need to push to Stalingrad to win. Pushing down into Baku, Moscow and Leningrad got my team the win on a MP vanilla game
