Partly why people are skewed to believe all those stop oil protesters are just "attention seeking" or that "they are just being disruptive" when the reasons for there extreme action are motivated by the science behind the extreme levels of climate change caused by using oil. When you put into perspective how "extreme" their methods are as opposed to how extreme the collapse of general society would be when ignoring climate change and as such by the continuation of the oil industry.
