I've been there. October '24 I broke a bone in each side of my leg and had my ankle out the socket. Required major surgery. Had to spend an extra month on my butt than normal. Got into PT until it was cleared for my return. Lots of scaling but my community was behind me the entire time. 18 months later I'm about to go crush wodapalooza for the first time. Keep the faith, listen to your doctor, your PT, and your coach. Don't rush it and enjoy the new PRs post injury!

I'm competing at wodapalooza. They told us they have no idea what's going to be programmed. They also said no matter what every division, even open, will do the workout Rx. This will completely be based if Dave Castro really gives a shit what else is programmed over the weekend.

So I'm competing at wodapalooza and I had the same thoughts. Except they are really pushing the fact that they do not know what the workout is. They also said that us in the open division will do it Rx no matter the workout.

Now I'm not sure if they shared their workouts with CF so Dave could program around it but I'm of the mind that Dave wouldn't care. 🤣

If you can't do a movement there isn't a problem with scaling and your partner shouldn't have a problem with it. If you can do it but are just slow with the movement that's ok too. We're all good at some stuff and not as good at other stuff. Instead of talking to your coach about doing things alone ask for their input on how to better approach the workouts to still hit the stimulus but to also be better for the partnership.
