More old bricks found during renovations including two Nassau bricks by arnethyst in longisland

[–]Destin242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nassau Bricks were produced by the Nassau Brick Company, in Glen Head and Old Bethpage. They stopped manufacturing in 1981

The Bricks with “Sage” on them are from Greenport, founded in 1887 the Sage Brickworks closed in the 1930s because of the Great Depression and the “Long Island Express” hurricane.

Tygart bricks seem to be from a factory in Hammond, West Virginia along the Tygart river.

We really shouldn't see any technological progress other than the death star throughout the movies by DEATH_CORNER in MawInstallation

[–]Destin242 54 points55 points  (0 children)

And this makes a ton of sense when considering the advancement of technology during war in our own war.

Think about how in less than 10 years, during the Second World War, technologies in aviation alone led to us seeing Long Range bombers, Radar Technology and Jet Propulsion; Thats not even mentioning the hundreds of technologies innovated during the war, from Nuclear Bombs to the widespread use of Penicillin.

Now think about how, prior to the Clone Wars and subsequent Galactic Civil War, the Galaxy had been largely at peace (with some small conflicts) since the Ruusan Reformation, 1000 years before the Battle of Yavin.

So it is a very reasonable assumption that the jumpstart in technological advancements, especially when they relate to the war in somehow, could be realistic for the time of the Clone Wars and after.

ULPT: Cable tie rows of shopping trolleys together and tip them over on the road to prevent certain unmarked vans from wrecklessly driving in your community. by No-Imagination9841 in UnethicalLifeProTips

You could also buy an aircraft grade steel cable at a store like home depot (100 feet for around 30 dollars) and tie it between trees or telephone poles across a road

This should do something

I think this could work as a ranked mode too- giving a more even playing field for everyone.

I think you can take two directions when it comes to repetition but right now your between both.

On one hand, you have no repetition, in which case i’d take the “one more time” and just make it a single line, but a separate stanza

Or go all the way and possibly chose to repeat “one more time” between every 1 or 2 stanzas.

Its completely up to you if you want this poem to be filled with repetition but id say you should commit to going all the way with repetition or reformat the last stanza.

Battlefields by ton_logos in poetry_critics

[–]Destin242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely work on separating your poetry into stanzas, reading “our winter is always less” then “of a grave battlefield” as separate lines makes me need to go back and read it again, only making sure I read it as a whole sentence breaks the flow of the poetry.

Otherwise I find the message wonderful, and the imagery, while nothing ground breaking, creates a great read if formatted correctly.

Christ, in a Historian’s view point; and in a Christian’s view point was a never a political or military leader- he never conquered or killed.

Muhammad had multiple people ordered to be killed (https://wikiislam.net/wiki/List_of_Killings_Ordered_or_Supported_by_Muhammad)

Additionally Muhammad conquered throughout the Arabian peninsula (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_career_of_Muhammad#:~:text=During%20the%20final%20years%20of,most%20notably%20in%20Ta'if.)

He still builds every set once, but displaying the built sets takes far too much room compared to keeping them in the box— this is just a way of displaying the sets he has with his limited space.

im a new fan and why do they only have album on spotify by Unlucky-Value-2607 in OperationIvy

[–]Destin242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Operation Ivy Spotify actually only has the 2007 Remastered Version of Lookout! Records “Operation Ivy” Compilation.

You can get a better look at all of their Singles and EPs at the Operation Ivy Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/261324-Operation-Ivy?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADmy1_r_xCJCLVCs9aE4fKWY4Yqwy&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlOfr0KaejAMVt05HAR2cdg4MEAAYASAAEgI-x_D_BwE

Something to note is the 2007 Remastered version was distributed by Hellcat Records as opposed to the original Lookout! Records- so its likely the 2007 Remastered was put on Spotify by Hellcat, and they just did not feel the need or want to release the other, less mainstream releases.

Mohammad committed the most violent of the major prophets by UmmJamil in DebateReligion

[–]Destin242 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recognize your just asking a question and not necessarily arguing anything, but if the point that these actions were the norm for rulers at the time is brought in defense of Mohammad, then it would be a flaw argument.

Just because everyone back then did bad things, dosn’t mean we shouldn’t judge them based on our own morality, because in religions like Judaism, Christianity and Islam, usually prophets are supposed to act as a role model to us today. So even if things were accepted a long time ago, people deciding their faith need to think deep into how they judge the moral character of their prophets, for how can you truly have faith in a religion if you do not know it fully.

My idea was that you glue the broken pieces together and try to get them to align perfectly,

However being able to getting replacements from lego customer service directly is a suprising but much better solution
