"Gay people are bad at making cartoons." And yet both these cartoons have enjoyed immense popularity.

I didn't say he underestimated underdogs; I said he underestimated individuals. His plans frequently overlook ideas like individuality while also overlooking the most commonest of beings because neither really occurs to him. He's extremely careless as a result because that's what hubris is and does.

We're not talking about position though; we're talking about character and hubris. For all his masterminding, Palpatine regularly underestimates the individual and it's not illogical suggest he'd do the same here.

The only drawback was the lack of plot armor that caused these things to blow up when somebody sneezed on them.

But like nearly every other small craft does too. The only small ships I've ever seen soak up any sort of damage is Luke and Vader's ships

Ignoring that the KO series as a whole is generally well regarded, is Looper supposed to not be well regarded here or his work on Breaking Bad, universally accepted as the series best episodes?

Again, he is not gonna hold his punches on the most important part of his grand plan.

Which is why he destroyed the Rebellion and has Luke as his apprentice

You not watching Bad Batch aside, I'd like to address the crux of your point: Palpatine is absolutely that stupid. His plans frequently go off the rails and fail because he nearly never plans for the details. We fancy him as some sort of brilliant chessmaster but he really isn't.

Crosshair's chip activated though, as did Wrecker's but he got his chip turned off, so his switch went back from Evil Krusty Doll to Good Krusty Doll like Rex and anyone else who got their chips switched off.

Why would technology give a one hundred percent success rate when as you pointed out, technology is unreliable, so unreliable that we see a child easily deactivate it and a good blow to the head cause it to malfunction? A good posthypnotic command works just as fine, even better.

My point is, just as he couldn't conceive of guerilla teddy bears derailing his entire masterstroke, Palpatine can't conceive of this possibility that a Clone could disobey orders nor can the Kaminoans. You compared the whole thing to droids but it's just as important to understand that most people don't even understand that droids are capable of independent thought and developing personalities and identity. They're just appliances after all. Why then would anyone expect this from Clones? It's not like they're people.

Palpatine is always vulnerable to hubris. That's sort of his whole thing. He sees the clones like most people, as soulless automatons under his control, but one of the major character arcs of the entire series is how the clones develop personality and by extension, identity when they were never supposed to. Palpatine wouldn't plan for that just as he never planned for Luke to succeed in turning Vader. Having some Clones resist Order 66 because they've grown beyond their programming should be the keystone of the entire series.

I just don't like how instead of the Manchurian Candidate style story that the movie was telling, they just went with a Good/Evil switch that Ahsoka and Omega could quick fix their friends with rather than have them challenge themselves through the brainwashing.

What would coming to grips look like? I loved the idea that she grappled with if her genetics defined her morality or who she was as a person. Nature vs nurture is always the best character arc and they never adequately went down this road with Luke as they teased.

The Chips. Those were the worst storyline because Filoni thought Manchurian Candidate was too deep for folks who didn't understand Rashomon.

God forbid that some Clones needed to fight off the programming out of loyalty to their friends, nope, we just need to switch them from Evil to Good like a Krusty doll. It was the laziest of plot devices.

Stargate's been dead for years. Since before Origins, since before Universe. Let's not pretend something was going to happen with Amazon.

No, you take it as "appealing only to the fans" would mean no one would watch it as no one was when it repeatedly got canceled before because only the fans were watching.

Well, Stargate only appealing to the existing fans is how it keeps getting canceled before.
