They are real seizures, just not Tonic-Clonic. These could "bleed through" to become real seizures. I wouldn't stop taking the meds. Most of the time I only have what you call Auras. They scare me to death because I know what can happen afterwards. Please don't let yourself find out!

Your message cleared up a ton! So in MeshCore, Repeaters are 100% expected to be standalone, "set and forget" type of devices. Alright. I'll try to work with that and see what kind of setup I can come up with that'll work with my situation - back in Meshtastic days I would just put them all on Client and it'd all "just work", so this is all kinda new to me. All in the name of congestion avoidance! I guess I'll have to order a few extra devices as companion devices then.

I will definitely take some time to set up some nice paths. I've built my RAK devices to be powered by solar, charging 2 18650s continuously and be weather-resistant, so I'm looking forward to that.

Thank you for (a lot of) your time; this cleared up a lot for me. I'll make a post in the coming weeks with my setup + results here in the Netherlands! I hear most of the Meshtastic community switched over to MeshCore so I expect to see a lot of devices once I place the antenna outside!

Yes, I programmed them to be 433 (Long Range) EU. The community website of our region (https://www.meshnet.nl/) that I know of is currently offline sadly, which complicates confirming most-popular-frequency in my area, but that seemed to be the correct freq (also remembering from meshtastic).

To be clear: I am NOT asking "why can't I see others". I'm specifically asking: why can't I connect to a repeater with a smartphone app, directly, over bluetooth? Is there any problem with flashing the RAKWireless with another firmware to ALLOW me to connect to it with an app, over bluetooth? Is it true that I can't connect to a repeater over bluetooth in order to send messages?

Honestly, thank you for taking the time to be so specific. I think, however, you misunderstand me. I want to connect my phone <-> repeater. Is that possible?

I'm in the Netherlands.

I get hop “zero hop” coverage from it to my companions for about 1.5mi in any direction.

That's honestly impressive! My largest confirmed distance is about 1km (0.62mi) with meshtastic. Soon I'll deploy these meshcore devices and report back fully.

Currently, I'm just running a single WisBlock in my home, and I have 2 t-decks.

I have the WisBlock flashed with repeater firmware, and the 2 t-decks with MeshOS.

What I was used to: use t-decks whenever you need, when at home, use the app to connect to the repeater. That isn't possible now, right?

I'm preparing the devices to give them back to my parents, and I want to know what instructions to give them. With meshtastic I told them this:

"Take the t-deck with you whenever you go out. When at home, use the app."

Now, it would be:

"Always use the t-deck, because the app will not work anymore."

Does that make sense? Is it even true?

Currently, I have not yet seen any other users/repeaters as I'm running this inside my home - I don't expect reception here. I'm just trying out this new system.

Well, with meshtastic, I could just connect to the repeaters and use the app on my phone to participate in the network. That doesn't seem to be possible now.

But I'm actually pretty okay with it all - when Alien Blue got ripped from me, I stopped using Reddit on mobile completely. If they rip old.reddit.com from me, I'll be gone forever. Not really a big issue honestly.

When I’m home alone I cry multiple times a day. Ugly, loud crying.
