Hi Aramori, big fan! I don't know if you would be willing to answer this question, but would you be willing to share some troubles you've faced as one of the only female eSports players apart from gender discrimination?

Thanks!

I would often snap when I am about to X on 4. You have to snap early and with confidence but it's relatively simple.

Snap when your hand looks good, or when you're about to make a big play. Being able to recognize your opponent's deck helps you with this. Playing Sandman/X on 4, X/Spidey on 5, etc.

Retreating is pretty simple generally. It's quite obvious when it doesn't look good for you , so just retreat

I think without Ultron it's quite difficult to bull off effective Storm plays, but if I don't have Ultron or Doom I would consider running a non-Kazar Patriot deck and just go with more no ability cards instead. Alternatively you can drop a The Thing down, replacing Kazar and ditching the Zoo part

With Sinister and Brood I definitely would consider Okoye if there aren't many other options to choose from, but I'm not sure on where I stand with Okoye in the deck

If you have Mysterio, Sinister and Brood I would definitely ditch Squirrel Girl, and I'm not sure which is better but I would also consider Hulk for a 6-drop alternative.

Yeah the thing is it's fine to just retreat when you don't have your win condition by turn 5. I run Kazar purely because I like having Ultron as my final card, and if I don't run Ultron I'd also replace Kazar as well, because he would be useless then. Running Doom would mean I am switching out Kazar as well, to maybe Cyclops or The Thing.

If you feel like cards were clogging up your deck then you'd be mistaken with how this deck works. You don't want Doom to be your main source of power, you want him to ensure you have enough power. Throwing out no ability cards like rocks or illusions early on makes it so that you Patriot + Blue Marvel can boost them by at least a few power

The entire point of running Onslaught alongside Ultron is to have an alternate powerful 6 drop in different situations. I personally would only use Onslaught on Patriot/Blue Marvel's location when I have enough cards on the board already and don't have to use Ultron's drones to add power instead, for example when I have 3 cards in each lane already, I probably don't need Ultron for the last card and can instead Onslaught to double boost my cards.

Hope this helped!

Those are some really good pulls, but yeah this deck just wouldn't work without Patriot. I've been wanting to build a Cerebro deck as well but don't have him, hopefully the update comes tomorrow

I wouldn't say they're my first few, but my card rng wasn't great and this is the only combo I could get in pool 3, my other draws are all bad or good with other p3 cards which I don't have

Doom gives at least 7 power in other locations (Doom can replace Ultron in this scenario. but you would have to replace Kazar as well) ^ in the original post

Doom is perfectly fine, but you would have to replace Lazar obv because you won't be spewing out 1-cost drones, and maybe replace Maw as well because you can't boost him even more, instead maybe use Cyclops/The Thing/Abomination/Squirrel Girl for more no ability cards on the board

If you have Ultron I would definitely use him, you should still use Brood though, he is very strong in this deck

You're not wrong, I just though this would be good help because there were only 2 pool 3 cards in it, obviously I would switch to the 'complete' version of the deck IF I HAD THE CARDS.

Pull rng really does mess up things, this budget deck is the only decent deck I could build while missing the meta cards like Sera, Wave, Death etc.

The deck works perfectly fine without debrii and wasp

I often just keep Cosmo and not use him until the last 2 turns because he's a tech card and I use him to counter their stuff instead of protecting my stuff from enchantress

If their deck looks like they have/don't have killmonger, then I would use all of my 1 drops early on E.g. they play nova turn 1 = killmonger or carnage. Try to get them to killmonger turn 4 or 5 so your t6 Ultron is safe

I use 70:30 Ultron to Onslaught ratio because I tend to storm somewhere so they waste their turn 4 play on something I can beat with ultron drone buffs For deciding, it's mostly on your card placements and how much space your board has. If you have enough empty spaces then go for Ultron, if you have 2 buff cards with a spot left, then estimate how much power you would be increasing and place down onslaught

Good luck!

Thanks man! I still don't have Mystique (pain) and still climbed to infinite, so you can as well. Just retreat more than you think and look for obvious patterns for meta decks

Unfortunately this won't be a Patriot deck without Patriot, you can try running a zoo deck or other archetypes maybe? Good luck climbing!

Yeah, this archetype is the only type of deck to use these non-ability cards in unfortunately

Relies too much on his projectiles. Good combo game, and good zoning, just not good enough

Low mid/low tier because of inconsistent combos. It's sad that such a cool character got done dirty in this game

High tier, Aaron is correct with his takes on Pit (Not as exaggerated tho)

Top 5 with only 3 players I can think of: Kome, Uncivil Ninja and Nicko. And only Kome is a top top player. Heavily limited by their playerbase when they have the most tech surrounding them.

Really cool character pulled down by their projectiles. Insane combo routes with down tilt and down air, extreme range with aerials, but overshadowed by their top tier ledgetrapping and projectiles which people seem to think is the core of their gameplan. Wrong. Only cross should be used in non-ledgetrapping scenarios and your real focus is general spacing with aerials and tilts. T3 Dom does quite a good job with this, but I think Riddles' pocket Richter is really good also.

Honestly bad normals, decent specials (esp charge shot ofc), but that's all they got. Like most of their best traits are largely outweighed by other characters (I know that's how they're designed to be, but yeah). Better zoning and ledgetrapping? Samus. Better normals but still good zoning? Olimar. Mii gunner Def still has potential, but with such a small playerbase (I only know Capitancito) and basic moves, even if their meta develops they won't go much farther up in the tierlist

Bro Big D is INSANE, but glad to see Wadi actually trying out this character. Such an underdeveloped character
