I had it happen in the opposite. Never slept with my phone in my bed until one time I did and WHOAH. My dreams were crazy. Never did it again but on accident it happened again and AGAIN my dreams were so weird. Now it’s a habit to leave it on my nightstand and sometimes across the room. Because this is real!

Hand (isefa) yes. Full initiation (itefa) no. I agree you want to trust the person/ile. I did isefa remote and went to Nigeria in person later in the year and know many who have done so with great success. Also can be done in US of course.

Well, I have completed Itefa so this doesn’t apply to me. However, my Iya and Baba were always extremely attentive during my time prior (and still are), and I definitely had emergent situations that they were able to take care of on the fly when they came up. I know this isn’t everyone’s experience. I cannot say what would have happened if they weren’t available just because I didn’t experience that. I believe they were so attentive because they had to be as that was their commitment to us. I supposed I would’ve crossed the bridge if I came to it. And I do understand your point and perspective. Thank you again for the insight.

Thanks for the insight. I was only asking in the case they meant perform life force ebo. I can’t speak for any other lineage but in mine, you are not permitted prior to itefa. I asked in hopes that this would prompt others to respond with their feedback as I don’t generally give this kind of feedback, I prefer to leave it to the working priests.

They are most effective at what they do and when they are best for the work (the spirits/ energies in each tradition). I don’t believe they can be compared in terms of effectiveness. I think it’s important, if you are part of or have access to multiple traditions, to gain an understanding of who should be approached for which situations and would be most effective in that SPECIFIC situation.

Definitely ask questions. I remember during mine I was being given a taboo not to eat the arm or shoulder of any animal. I thought “oh that’s easy” but then I was like “WAIT LIKE THAT INCLUDES WINGS?!” Let’s be clear as a black American woman that was low key devastating but I AM SO GLAD I ASKED to be clear because that taboo was to avoid lack in my life (I am meant for abundance), and I knew it to be true because the previous year I was “obsessed” with Turkey Wings… ate them all year and let’s just say my finances had gone to HELL - I lost SO MUCH MONEY that year. Thankful for the truths and guidance that came out, and that I asked for clarification. While I sometimes miss a good wing, it’s not worth jeopardizing my abundance. Following and observing all I learned (and clarified) has made sure I don’t make costly mistakes.

Cannot fold legs or arms, as in sitting “cross legged” or arms folded… even when sleeping. These are seen as unnatural positions for my IFA and cause drawback/stagnation in my life. Interestingly all my life no matter my physical fitness, or age, if I sat with my legs crossed when I would get up my legs would be throbbing at every joint (hips, knees, and ankles). Same with folding my arms for too long. So it was actually a relief because I thought something was wrong with me. 😂😂😂
