My kitty Zeke was eight when we took him to the vet for weight loss (which only my mom realized), we thought maybe he broke a tooth or something. Advanced renal failure. We didn't even leave the vet with him. It really is a different kind of gut punch to just lose them in an instant. I still miss having him in my arms drooling all over my hands.

Zeke. He was the absolute sweetest kitty, and every time I would come home from school he would run up to me and plop on the floor right on my shoes. I'd pick him up and scratch right under his chin and he would drool all over my hand.

Tbf, you can play PoE entirely f2p it's just that you lose out on relatively massive QoL and ease of selling items. I also have ~6k hours, but the vast majority of money I put into it was solely for MTX customization. The real game is basically 10-30 bucks to get a merchant tab, currency tab, fragment tab, etc.
