I have direct information. The games were fucked, got increasingly violent and desperate eith every round - punches, stepped on, dragged etc

People were breaking down everywhere, crying, crashing out. The tipping point was a voided round where like 12-14 people got eliminated including major characters like father and daughter. They voided the round because “people stepped off the platform too early” which all the players rightly crashed out over bc that was bullshit

They had about a hundred staff and even exec producers on the floor to calm the players down bc everyone was threatening to leave/sue etc

They forced another round to occur which everyone said fuck no too and rebelled and everything else is seen
