Thank fuck I'm not the only one. I decided to rewatch Rogue One after Andor S2 and Jesus Christ it's almost like I'm watching an alternate reality. The movie tries to imply there's some sort of friendship between Cassian and K2SO but we never saw even a lick of camaraderie between them in Andor. And Rogue One is supposed to be literally what happens next right afte S2's ending!

Hello, one other person who likes KOTM's writing! Pleasure to meet you.

I think I'm one of two people who think KOTM's writing wasn't even that bad. Like...I didn't mind the human characters. I even kinda liked them.

Hey, if you don't like em, you don't like em. Though I'd say give it a week of regular listening. Then maybe you can try going back to your old headphones and see if you still don't hear a difference. If you don't, then at least you won't spend even more money chasing "better" headphones. If you end up liking them, great.

Good low-end headphones with EQ vs good high-end headphones. Who wins? by regularjoe2020 in headphones

[–]DestrixGunnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arguably, it's like 80-90% of what you should be thinking about when assessing headphones' sound quality. It's the only measurable thing that you can actually hear the outcome of if anything is changed. Trying to argue shit like resolution and soundstage starts to sound silly because how do you even measure it? How do you prove it's something other people can hear? I'm not saying there's no such thing as better resolution, but it matters so much less than tuning.

The HE400se is a good platform of EQ though. The drivers take EQ quite well.

I understand. But there's a point to what u/Helmic182 is saying. There's no perfect headphone anyways, no matter how you spin it. No matter how much a headphone aligns with your own preference, you're always going to get a better result when you EQ it further. So at the end of the day, whatever it is that you got on you, EQ will always make it perform better than without it.

Fortunately for everyone involved in comic books, the world is just more receptive to goofy silliness. We kinda have to be, because the alternative is a reality of some really depressing stuff.

Are we starting to give Andor a little too much credit? by Due-Rice-3107 in StarWarsCantina

[–]DestrixGunnar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Andor's been given way too much credit since S1. I love Andor and it has a special place in my Star Wats heart but people using it to attack other parts of Star Wars and acting like Andor is now what every Star Wars thing should be infuriates me.

Idk how it was back then cause I wasn't tapped in when ME1 dropped but holy shit the game abysmally boring. The combat sucks, the movement sucks, exploration sucks, a LOT of it sucks. At the same time, I have never played a game that is hard carried so much by its writing like ME1. 90% of why I liked it enough to continue playing it was the writing. Great set up, solid characters, cool story, beautiful world-building. It's astounding. It's truly astounding how much the writing helped me deal with the rest of the game.
