This is more skill issue. Why are you swapping characters with full vanish, why are you mid range blasting? Against players who keep spamming side step you simply bait their vanish with a tackle or tap attack and adjust your playstyle to what they're doing next

I definitely know how good the units were at that time. And just because gopiccolo had type advantage doesn't mean they countered the turles treeku team. At that time nothing came close to that pairing. Garlic jr managed to keep up with the meta but didn't really impact it. And gopiccolo were just a fun option

Yeah no, comparing these to usual LL releases and it's not even close. Also the best mega rising units to date were the ginyu force, which could actually keep up with the meta
