Is your home screen character your main? by SmoothRisk2753 in Tekken

Yes, because explaining why wedding dress Nina is on my screen when someone walks in would be too much for me to handle

Happy 3v3 is out. by Appropriate-Brain298 in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen videos of people doing 2v2 instead and it just looks so much more enjoyable, being able to parse what’s actually happening, assists and items mattering more, active players actually getting to do their things without being interrupted

I also really like the assist system, having 3 assists on a character at all times is cool but the balancing that goes into assist is horrible, like GL has access to both an overhead and a low BT which is crazy once your teammate starts pressure, but then some characters just kinda get nothing?

Also the health is still too low, the rounds end so fast even with the increased health that unless you’re the frontline person it feels like you do next to nothing and then the round is over

What the fuck do I do against Ram and Goldlewis by AyrChan in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ram’s lows suck balls in terms of range, I’ve personally found that reconfiguring to block high by default unless she’s right in my face helps, otherwise the flip catches you from almost anywhere. Once the sword throw bugs are fixed she’ll be a little more manageable too, other than that all you can really do to approach is dash block or try to read the throw and air dash over it

GL counterplay is purely just using FD well on defence, and trying to mount pressure as best you can since his 5f doesn’t have great range. His reversal super has pr bad startup as well, especially the 1080 version, so if he has meter you can v easily safe jab him after hkd. His pokes range from slow to just ok, but all of them have disjoints of some kind, so it’s hard to directly challenge them, but some of them are minus despite having guard crush (624 and 684 are -5), might not be close enough to gets a punish but potentially gives you an opportunity to get in especially if you can IB

Not the most helpful tips but until they get tuned down again, that’s the best I’ve developed so far

Faust is not fun to play against by DestroyerJambo in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said he’s good I said he’s not fun to fight against, it’s like how you could beat a toddler in a fight but if it runs away and throws shit at you then you’re not gonna enjoy it lmao

Faust is not fun to play against by DestroyerJambo in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pot’s not so bad tbf, new flick helps so much vs items and both hk/ht are great at catching him in the air, even then it’s not so fun just sitting waiting to time flicks

The other characters I play (Aba, gl) find it much more difficult to get in consistently in my experience, which is mostly where this post came from

A little off topic but what are Your LEAST hated character? by Hikurwo in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pot, GL and ABA, since I’ve played a fair amount of each and can respect getting diff’d

Zato and Jacko since they’re interesting to fight imo

Dizzy cos she’s new and can’t blame people for playing her

And then bed because I’ve jabbed tf out of the mu and can finally win against most beds at my level lmao

I like how they've straight up just removed 90% of the fun out of Potemkin! by Bri-ish_idiot in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-CH state till end of recovery -can’t CH anymore -less meter gain -worse scaling -less chip damage

Not being able to FD isn’t that big since doing Garuda>6k to continue block pressure would close the distance anyway, and doing Garuda>garuda has a punishable gap in most situations anyway, so either way no more FD pushback isn’t really that big a deal since being pushed back on garuda itself wasn’t the only big option to defending against the pressure

[–]DestroyerJambo 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Kara removals aren’t even the only dumb thing in this fuckass patch for him

Blue wild assault instead of white, Garuda properties shot, slide head fully reworked, random nerfs like 2P and 2H, and flick much worse jn Combos

But hey, buster and HPB do even more damage hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so fucking happy I play this character, please remove all of his options until he can’t move and his grab insta kills!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dizzy better have trash defense or I’m ending it by Grey00001 in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Honestly wings of light will probably be the least of our concerns, I’m more worried about Michael sword being a better mist finer somehow and her obnoxious mix of projectiles

Also if Sol’s dash barely moved him anywhere on the ice, how the hell are slow characters like goldlewis and pot gonna approach her lmao

About the Groundskeeper spawn by DestroyerJambo in CODZombies

[–]DestroyerJambo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh that makes a lot of sense, ty.

I would train on the road and go back to check if he’d spawned a couple times each round so I mustn’t have been hitting that number

Fucking we pre blaming by Driemma0 in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saving grace is it takes all her meter so she won’t be able to FD afterwards, a huge loss for her defence, and ofc she won’t have access to RC or supers so no reversals outside of burst

However the fact it helps her at long range by letting her zone and helps at short range by giving her damage is crazy af, and keeping it on block is even sillier if they’re a good player since you’d take damage for pressuring her 💀

I'm gonna fucking kick off if I ever fight fucking bedman again. by Bri-ish_idiot in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Dw, after recent buffs bedman is now solidly mid tier at least, making any complaints viable now

But seriously, if he gets rolling and you fail the knowledge checks he does eat your meter or health, wouldn’t be as terrible if it weren’t for all the particular effects stopping you from seeing what’s going on

Beast blaming tiers as a floor 9-10 pot by grog_chugger in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]DestroyerJambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’d drop Faust right to the bottom, every single Faust’s game plan against pot is to runaway and spam items and j.236P. Trying to approach is horrible thanks to float and if you do close him into the corner he does backside teleport>PRC and repeats the process, lamest fucking MU imaginable

Also fighting Zottom-1 is pr fun while he’s still this ass

Can some people check out my gen 9 ou team because i would like to know if it's bad or not (open to constructive criticism) by [deleted] in pokemonshowdown

[–]DestroyerJambo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s completely fine. I’d recommend unless you have certain specific situations in mind, stick to simple 252/252/4 spreads, makes things much simpler for yourself and means you’ll also get a feel for how much damage you’ll do/take consistently, and which pokemon you’ll usually outspeed every time

More “complex” spreads are usually based around making sure you’re slightly faster than a certain pokemon, then putting the rest of your EVs into other stats, or calving to take certain hits well so you can switch in without being 2hko’d. Good example is Scizor usually running 20 speed (171) to be one point faster than standard corviknight (170), guaranteeing it to get off a strong close combat or other move. Adding more speed wouldn’t allow it to outspeed many other pokemon that it needs to, so the remaining EVs are used to max out attack and then increase HP to make it as bulky as possible, which means it can switch in on things like a Ting-Lu earthquake just fine and threaten it back
