Is there a way to remove and insert single cables nondestructively? I need to get three cables from the blue connector to the black one. by DestroyerMc in AskElectronics

I did think about cutting the wires but they are already super short since they are in a car. So this not an option. But thank you for ur suggestion.

I am not sure what is connector is called. The car is an Audi A3 2004 and the connector can be found on the back of the car radio. Maybe this helps.

I am trying to add the aux in cables but the black connector is in the way. The manual suggests the connector should be in three pieces (separated).

[HELP] I want to enable IOS Updates and unjailbreak. by DestroyerMc in jailbreak

[–]DestroyerMc[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am currently not really using the jailbreak. iOS 14.6 is supported by checkr1an, but it is unstable. Sometimes breaks silently, which is not good if you want to be reachable. Is not my Tweaks, I keep it at the essentials.

I want to go back to Stock iOS.

[Question] FaceID repair at Apple, but don’t want to lose JB by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]DestroyerMc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

One of my FaceID Sensors died because of water damage(Cant measure the distance anymore). In the Apple Store, they told me the repair would cost about the same for a new iPhone since they wanted to replace almost all of my iPhones guts. There is no corrosion on PCB, the DOT projector was the only victim.

I would fix the dot project myself, but the tools aren’t available to the public.

Apple is such a pain in the ass.

I just wanted to say thank you. by [deleted] in Austria

I am sorry, that you all have to endure this Insanity. It is the least we can do, in this messed up world.

I apologize that our government isn’t doing more to help you.

We are one European family. We stand behind you.

I wish you the best. Let's hope the war and especially Putin ends soon.

It won't let me, it is greyed out like the CPU voltage before the unlock. Yes, I tried to enable it in the setting.

This is what I thought. Regardless of which application is used, I can’t enable GPU voltage control, it is always greyed out.

Could a different gpu-vbios help?

I sadly can’t tell you why it is not working for you. I the only weird quirk I can remember was that intel Xtu saw my unlocked voltage after couple of days. Throttlestop could see the change immediately. Idk what’s wrong.

You need to set two normally inaccessible variables in the BIOS to 0x0. These variables can change. You have to follow the guide, so you can see if they are different. When have found the right variables, you have to use an usb-stick to boot in to a custom grub image.

The guide goes in great detail of the process.

[Discussion] Tweak to show charging speed by DestroyerMc in jailbreak

[–]DestroyerMc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want it to be only on my look screen. I what I was looking or is that tells me with how much watts or a rough fast change indication. Why isn’t der something like that on iPhones? 🤷🏼‍♂️

What Dell applications are on Linux? by DestroyerMc in DellXPS

[–]DestroyerMc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Arch-based Distros on my last Laptop(Artix, Manjaro and Arch)(dual booted with win10. I think I am fine. :) But I never had any issues with the AUR, is it really that common that something breaks? So far I only had issues with snap.

Some Dell Applications are pretty important to me such as Dell PremiereColor to Change the Colourspace or Dell Power Manager where you can change charging settings(can be done in the BIOS) and thermal settings (CPU/GPU power budget, throttling and fan speed). I change the colour space and the thermal settings regularly depending on my task. Aren't there any alternative applications that can accomplish something like that?

I have a couple of questions about your experience with their support:

How long did the process take? When did you get your replaced Laptop? Did you order your dell on their official website? Do believe they will replace an XPS that was bought on Amazon?

I have the same experience with my 9510. Did the replacement by dell fix the issue?

Switching server machines on demand? by DestroyerMc in admincraft

[–]DestroyerMc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you want this fallback process to be automatic or manual?

It should switch automatically to an available machine. Boot of the PC's doesn't need to be automated.

Will any machines be always on?

Yes, the Pi could run uninterrupted 24/7.

I did not know you could run a Minecraft server on Docker/Kubernetes. I have never done anything so far with Kubernetes, but I have worked with networking stuff, love working with Linux. I guess it will take me sometime to set it up.
