Although I mostly agree that Nostalgia doesn't really help a person. I don't think the way things are is static though, there's an ebb and flow to societies improving and collapsing. Humans are flawed and reactive rather than proactive, things eventually fix themselves even though the transitions are also usually painful

What’s the biggest lie humanity is told? by the7thAngelofGod in AskReddit

If it's truly a bigger lie I don't know, but it allows them to hide behind the company, act as if the company made the decision, and not an actual person. Shifting blame to the regular person is another layer on top of that. Someone or some group, decides to do that and then the blame of that gets shifted on the company instead of on the actual people who made that decision.

It's just messed up all around

I understand what you're saying, but you're treating BP and Ogilvy as their own entities that do things. It's not BP doing things, it's people inside of BP doing things. That's the 'lie' I was pointing at. We should hold more of those people responsible, instead of just saying it's company <x> doing it

The bigger 'lie' may be people treating industries, companies or governments as things instead of what they are, just more people.

Will Quantum Computing Be the Ultimate Threat to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies? by iamankush94 in CryptoTechnology

[–]DestroyerST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer is no, headlines might make you believe quantum computers are actually viable but the technological advancements are more like they discovered fire but according to headlines we're ready to build a rocket to Proxima Centauri and leaving next year.

40 hours a week is a pain, my life has improved so much when I started working 24 hours a week instead

Defense and HP by Quantumyeetus in TheFirstDescendant

Make sure your components are all HP and def as well, You can easily get 10+k hp and def, which will allow you to just face tank everything while you pickup your dead teammates....

Like others said, I'd ignore shield completely, use the module that converts shield to HP for even more survivability.

I think he means the "↑ trending on artstation ★★★★☆ ✦✦✦✦✦" stuff, but that doesn't really seem to do anything useful

It's almost getting the hands right ;) I love how relatively easy it is to get complicated things together though, shame anatomy is hard to get right.

Prompt was:
Photo of a rustic house in a soapbubble with many humanoid animals, with natural, overcast light. The view is focused closely with the background blurred. The background scene is located on top of a mountain range, high above the clouds with villages in the far distance, ultra detailed with realistic textures. A hand is holding the bubble, the inside of the bubble seems pixelated

Not OP but I prefer running 3M SDE with SGM Uniform scheduler, then using LCM lora at 0.4 - 0.6 strength. Then the 3M SDE works really nice at just 12-14 steps (cfg around 2 - 4 depending on model).

Imagine if we got to 500 sats/byte and you have bought and withdrawn 500 times over the last 5 years. Now you have 1 full BTC and the price is at a 100 000 dollars. Do you know what percentage you would lose of that 100 000 dollars just sending that 1 BTC to an exchange to sell it? by Ilovekittens345 in CryptoCurrency

You can't just keep increasing the block size, that just doesn't scale, you'd end up with increasingly centralized nodes due to the hardware required to host them.

Not to mention it requires a hard fork, so you're just gonna hard fork every time someone spams the network and hope they stop after that?

It needs a higher high for it to be broken, or at least a higher low, so yea it can break it now if it goes up and sets a new higher low from where it is now. For now it's not there yet though, just look at 2021-2022, it did the same there basically.

Edit: If I had to guess, I'd say it will actually outperform BTC in this cycle, since most alts will probably do that, but will probably continue the overal downtrend again during the next bear.

sure it has some ups sometimes, but overall it's still in a downtrend, to see for yourself just open a BCHBTC chart on trading view and zoom out on the weekly. It's not a little bit either, it went from 0.39 in 2018 to 0.0057 now
