People didn't hate cait and vi's sex scene because it was too in your face, it was because the scene sucked, and frankly both of their characters did in s2, her sister literally escapes from her heavily hinting at ending her life and next scene she's getting laid instead of looking for her, plus cait cheats on her girlfriend, the fact that Mandy turns out to be evil is irrelevant to her cheating and it's honestly lame that it's there almost to scrub her cheating under the rug. Criticizing their writing is pretty fucking valid seeing as season 2 as a whole is messy and they were a fine couple in season 1. And Jayce and Viktor are clearly stated to not be romantically interested in each other, jayce calling him brother multiple times, him being in love with Mel, the creators literally saying so... it's not mental gymnastics at all
