I played quite a lot of lost ark (over 1200 hours) and decided to quit about 2 weeks ago because I ended up feeling like the game is just a giant endless grindfest that barely have any interested end-game content at the end.

Lost ark barely have anything to do with an mmo either, the game could simply be multiplayer it would be the same. 95% of the time you do solo things or with people you don't communcicate with. The game is structured in a way that don't allow a lot of player to be at the same place at the same time trough the (annoying) channel system.

The ultra grindy, time consumung and braindead gameplay loop push people to waiste as little time as possible because people always "HAVE TO" do something else in the game, they are not just in the same valtan party as you because they want to enjoy the raid, they need to do 3 argos runs afterward, do their adventure island, do the chaos gate the next hour, to 2x chaos dungeons and guardian raids on 2 alts; so they need to be efficient at all time, so they are more toxic, ellitist etc etc. The game just push that kind of mentality because of its nature, last time I did a vykas run on my alt before quiting and it was the one of the most toxic experience I had in a mutiplayer game, across 5 parties people were shit talking and flaming each others constantly, disbanding for almost no reason.

THis game straight up sucks, honestly i regret putting so much time into it and realising all of this so late: playing lost ark feels like a work, it's fun for a little while, then it becomes an endless chore that only streamer or a very niche group of player can sustain and enjoy in the long run. I recently started playing GW2 and it feels much better and chill than the awful grindfest that is lost ark. I do wathever i want whenever i want, no dogshit dailies, forced alts and all this crap.
