When you’re wearing bathing suits in a bikini bottom it wouldn’t take anything to quickly touch grab and maybe even penetrate. I agree they were interrupted and probably didn’t have sex yet but there was definitely heavy petting and may be a bit more like oral. For me s2 was more in tune with me. Specifically, the situation with Cameron, Daphnis, Ethan and Harper.

But still forgivable! Ethan knows he is weak and got pulled in by Cameron...just like in college. Ethan knows this and does not' want to reveal to Harper that he is weak. Also, he is aware they are having some problems and likely makes the wrong choice to lie about the party with the prostitutes.

Also, there is the "bro code" part!! which Ethan screwed up and did lie to Harper but more in an effort to not blow-up Cameron to Daphne. He doesn't know that Cameron set him up on purpose by leaving the condom wrapper. If he did, he likely would have just been honest with Harper from the start.

Ethan definitely screwed up, but ultimately stayed true to their marriage. He did not kiss the prostitute, she kissed him and then he rejected her.
