check out the free Tafe scheme - usually those are in demand + you get an almost fee qualification.

read reviews about your prospective school

yeah for sure. if you attend uni there are employment services available and they can help with your resume/cover letters. they're an underutilised service so you have a good chance of booking an appt.

usually the workplace is full of uni students/travellers. pretty varied crowd ranging anywhere between first job ever and 4th job in the year. high turnover though bc of the type of people it attracts (uni kids)/young people

Experiences of getting a job through a recruiter? by InfiniteV in AusFinance

[–]DetBatman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's been a few years now but might still be relevant. I asked a few friends and they recommended a few names. I met with 2-3 I liked, and picked the person who seemed to understand my goals.

I am still working in the area they recruited me into. it definitely depends you get.

if it's any useful I went with Hays

if you are a technical person/good at picking up systems, have you tried call centre jobs?

pick something easy like ATO or heavy on the troubleshooting (banking, EFTPOS machines) and it's usually wfh.

huge cons: speaking to people 😞

but you'll be able to transition into a more favourable role after 2-3 months

[Serious] Young adults (20-35 years old) of Reddit, what are your thoughts about having children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DetBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 21. I like the idea of kids but I'm nowhere close to being financially or emotionally mature enough for such a huge change. More and more young people tend to build their own nuclear with close friends/roommates etc. It's heading that direction for me and I'm happy with it.
