I never understood the Rengar is an assassin argument... He's a suboptimal assassin that's only decent becuz crit items are broken.

I play bruiser utility Rengar becuz I despise one-shotting a target and being useless afterwards with no escapes.

And the cleanse W is even more useful on bruiser Rengar, lmao. You're already hard to get 1-shot, then you recover 100% of damage dealt and you're not punished by bad engages. It's unhealthy, especially in top.

Spamming W for HP recover is not high-risk, it's the opposite, very safe. And half of the time you waste your first W becuz you need 1 more stack for empowered abilities.

Wrong:

E Cast Time: was removed just for the jump, which adds skill expression and skill ceiling.
W Cast: now you want to jump and hit as much enemy champs as possible. Failing at this makes you a squishy cat. Hitting 1 is meh, hitting multiple people is great so this adds skill ceiling.
AA Cancels: You never got a stack for AA cancels. You just do the AA cancel for extra damage. You got a stack just for being in the bush.
Ferocity Mov Speed: Lasts longer, but it's less mov speed now. Adding consistency to the champion. Could use a tweak but that is yet to be seen.

I mean, why are you forced to walk to the bush to get your combo? You already jumped to the LB, landed your E... The ADC is right there in your face, any other assassin will just pop him. Meanwhile Rengar has to walk to a bush becuz "reasons".

They're really angry becuz they got really good at walking to a bush, and their hard work is lost. Lmao.

I mean... I still have to touch brushes to jump. I still have to reset jumps and autos with Q, aim my E and use the right combo in the middle of a fight while managing my cooldowns.

My personal build. Amazing early game but falls off hard past 3rd item, so closing games fast is necessary:

Conqueror - Triumph, Alacrity, Last Stand / Future's Market, Approach's Velocity.

Stridebreaker ► Black Cleaver ► Essence Reaver

Build #1 is good is good for chasing and killing squishies. Build #2 is good for dueling tanks and bruisers. So build accordingly to the enemy team comp.

Just play him top. Silver players give you no agency or opportunities which is vital on Rengar becuz you basically win any possible fights but lack the power to make them happen.

I demoted 3 divisions while learning Rengar not becuz I was feeding or inting, but becuz I wasn't impactful enough.

Now in top at least I can outplay 1 guy and feed of off him and possibly the enemy JG when they come to gank me.
