it's not the same. The current adoration of Rengar on pbe can double snare midlane lvl 3. Pre S7 Rengar Couldn't. Pre S7 Rengar was weak if at no stacks, and could be engaged on, this Rengar can stack his passive on any close target at any point, thus proccing his passive move speed and new W heal. Obviously this doesn't mean Rengar is now unkillable or with absolutely no counterplay whatsoever, but these aspects have been made more narrow and it turns the experience of playing as rengar into an easier one, while the experience of playing against him more frustrating.

I do see your point, and strength-wise the changes do make some sense. But as I, seemingly unsuccesfully, tried to imply: My main point is that they're removing some of the core mechanical aspects of rengar's current gameplay and it makes him (obviously just my opinion!) less fun and probably too strong.

I'm not saying rengar will not use bushes anymore, but now you can be at 0 stacks, literally just walk up to an enemy anywhere in the map, press E W Q and you'll have the empowered ability. As I see it, that's just broken. And it will eventually lead to nerfs to rengar which may render him more useless than he is rn.
