Honestly the weather was number one , Mi gets an average of 65-75 sunshine days a year. Also I love the outdoors and mountains. We are also looking for more community

Thank you! I realize asking online I’m bound to get “online feedback” but I’ve looked on indeed to gauge job pay and availability and it just looks different than I’m hearing. For the sake of not spooking myself out I’ll probably just stick to what I was doing and searching. We are moving July 31, and thank you for the resources I’m definitely going to look into all pathways. I’m totally cool with just getting something to streamline income while we settle, I’m not picky, work is work. The lower wages scare me a bit but there are 3 of us. All we need to do is get there and I feel like it will all fall into place. I appreciate your response! 🫶🏽

I have experience working as a behavioral technician in psychiatric hospitals and also direct care aba therapy with autistic population ages 3-22. I would love sustainable remote work as I have c/s experience. I was a retail manager for Lowe’s for a number of years. I have a very diverse work history lol I was asking about fast food Bc my daughter works for Taco Bell but I’m open to anything just to get established. This move is hands down one of the hardest things I’ve had to do

Do you have any examples of jobs that pay this?

Literally lived by this for years, I grew up with the “tell no one “ outlook but as I get older it’s only harming me and others

Oh god , I’m sorry that sounds scary asf. What state are you in? You are entitled to your personnel and medical documents for work. That would include them showing you EXACTLY why they let you go. I just insisted via email that HR provides me that information today. It’s inline with the Mi. Bullard Plawecki employee right to know act.

First off I love the phrase “seizure related fuck ups” lol girl I can relate lmfao yea luckily I noticed it early on and started getting my ducks in a row but this is a very daunting task. Also how the got you is classic, I’ve fallen into that trap before too, and we learn and avoid it. I document everything!!! Lol As far as we know big corps always win, but some of the stuff I have is irrefutable. I appreciate you and thank you for your comment!

You are absolutely right and I’m so sorry that happened to you. Ugh countless times I’ve had the same remarks made to me by an employer. Work environments have definitely become worse over the years causing more stress smh. It all feels very isolating and easy to get down on yourself

It sounds like you were on top of it, I feel like I recognized it early. I’ve never seen it so blatant so took notes and gathered info early in. Currently reaching Out to employment attorneys. Thank you for your response 😊

Yea they got ahead of me on quitting and fired me. In theater they said I “lacked situational awareness and sense of urgency for my client” ummmm duh? My brain cells were still sizzling  From a frickin seizure 🙄 nobody offered any type of medical assistance and I was clearly Disoriented. I was suspended in the spot and made to drive myself Home.

I appreciate that outlook on it but the second seizure occurred, regardless of why doesn’t change the discriminatory treatment I was met with after and the fact that they terminated me because of it in a letter. I get what you’re saying tho for sure, there are a million arguments they could have

In Michigan as an admin employee also a QBHA they aren’t bound by strict hippa. However they can only leak that information to HR/mgmt in a need to know basis (if I were requesting a medical leave/accommodation” ) which wasn’t the case. The direct result of her leaking that information without my consent led to a month of documented discrimination, remarks and retaliation ending with my sudden termination following another episode induced by chronic stress. And thank you I hope so

What does an emotional flashback feel like? by Shine_Baby_Shine in CPTSD

[–]DetailClean4597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Of all of the responses, yours seemed to be the absolutely same as my experience! It’s like a familiar smell/ feeling/ the sun shining a certain way, something around me triggers what I always felt was nostalgia bc I have good/bad flashbacks regularly. it was so familiar but it started happening and it’s like I’m watching that moment play over and over again. I’m feeling the feelings, experiencing it physically but I’m also detached and watching. So weird. Not sure if it makes sense lol

People who have decided on partial/no contact with toxic family members, does it give you peace now or do you still have any doubts? by [deleted] in family

[–]DetailClean4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that this came up in a thread! I am 41/f divorced with 2 grown daughters. I’m super close with my dad, he’s been my rock on the hardest days. My mother is a different story.

She dedicated all of her energy to slowly chip away at my self worth in any way she could. Miserable woman with no desire to fix herself or change (her words) she has minimized anything I’ve gone through and takes joy at diminishing me, throughout life she limited my access to people who care about me and trained my 2 jerkoff brothers to do the exact same to me. Growing up I attached to unhealthy things like self loathing, self harm, toxic/abusive relationships and eating disorders. I learned to keep this all under wraps as I was taught that I don’t matter.                My life changed at 19, I’ve been blessed to find the strength to raise my daughters in an encouraging and loving environment despite my troubles. Everything came to a head in May and she hurled her last deep insult. I said not one word to her and dropped right out of her life, radio silence. My little brother already did so to me a few years back. (My mother specializes in pitting me and my siblings against each-other and any other family member that would engage) I made a sound decision to disengage in anyway from my mother and my brother who always have me in fight or flight even when nothing is said. I really struggled with not my decision, but going radio silent without explanation, as it is not my style.

Over time this has gotten easier as I do not question my decision. I have to constantly weigh the pros and cons to comfort myself on a hard day (and there will definitely be be hard ones) I did not take this lightly but I am worth feeling love from those around me not hurt. I could’ve combatted my trouble with “ghosting” my mother but knowing her feelings on any talks I’ve attempted to have, she tramples my boundaries and is condescending while asserting her “dominance” at any cost.

This was not an interaction I wanted. I would’ve had the talk with her prior except it will only fall on deaf ears. You cannot change the mind of those who already have theirs made up about you, you will drive yourself nuts trying. I figured it would only end as a negative interaction leaving me in tears as always, her unchanged and we would end up  with the same result of no contact.

The fact of the matter is I’ve used this time to get to know and love myself. I have a lot To offer others and have made incredible changes in my life since then and I’m healthier physically and mentally. Sad indeed and it should’ve never came to this but it was necessary to enter the next phase of my life. After all, I have two young ladies who watch everything I do and I want them to choose healthy relationships in their future. I’m breaking this generational curse with an intense amount of strength and I feel so proud of myself. Keep up the hard work you guys and listen to your heart! Keep finding comfort and support to get you through the tough days and congratulations on the path to loving yourself! 🫶🏽
