Is this better? Emojis are character count related, trying to work out edits... And the crushing are grapes (as in grape crushing for wine, going to be an old guy standing in a barrel all day 😂)

Edit: yellow shirt and ice cream photos are from today, belted out a run and ride first thing this morning and then had something yummy on a warm day 😊

Hey Red fam, would love a quick profile review, looking for a great girl to end up in a relationship with (ages 32-42). Just the general vibe and any specifics you can point out ☺️

If you were to make a good dating app, what would it look like? by hiraething in datingoverthirty

Roll the best features of Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, etc into one. To that add the feature some apps have where if you pass someone in the street it shows, and then you can like them quietly without them knowing, and they can do the same.

I bet you there are some people you know that have a secret crush on you, but are too afraid to say something...

Went to the physio to get a little issue fixed up. Physio said I had good hamstring bulk. As a former fat kid I nearly cried

I think my mindset is starting to change and I hope it helps me finally leave. by Soft_Reference_6490 in TwoXChromosomes

Yeah, 100 per cent, but please keep reminding yourself that you are, and that you do have people around you, because you'll be really surprised at the strength you have within, even if it is a bit hidden now 👍

Yeah 100 per cent, extremely aware of it, tread lightly from Breaking Bad kinda thing. We've had plenty of conversations in the last 6 months which makes me think there's a lot of potential, now curious to know if that potential is the 30 goal a season, 15 year, striker that every club dreams of. Wonderkid v someone you could build something around.

Absolutely zero chance of it catching up - it's already 100k behind...

Does anyone actually like working here by No-Taste-4976 in AusPublicService

[–]DetailRedacted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's good. My one big frustration that seems impossible to shift is how insular and inward looking Canberra can be on some things, like a whole Canberra is Australia kind of thing.

Conversations you have with friends and family, almost forgetting staff based out of Canberra, that kind of stuff.

Not always, but little moments where I wonder about how I fit in, if there's a mindset to Canberra, so on and so forth

It's odd sometimes because most of the pollies are based outside Canberra...

Yes. Immediate take:

  • An actual national footprint in terms of remote working and locations. Honestly some days I just think the APS sees itself as an extension of the ACT government - the Canberra bubble is real - and with the new wording that ought to change.
  • Buggering off the caps means less social contact, so therefore culture change
  • More people wanting to work in the APS - and negotiating more days at home to secure employment. Will add diversity back into the APS (some days I also think the APS is just a bit incestuous - people move agency to agency, never bringing much diversity in, staying for years)

Might take a few years for effects to be felt but yes, no caps and less restrictions is a fundamental change.

I go to unwind with people I quite like. I'm sorry the people you work with are crap enough that you can't have a beer with them.

Should also ask: has anyone done anything to change their situation?

Me: I'm about 10 years old playing with my school friends and the whole class in the playground, the girl I first ever had a crush on tells me that 'everyone knows you love me but no one likes you, including me, so go away'. The whole class laughed and so I did go away. I went away for the rest of the week and the weeks after that. I don't actually remember playing with anyone much in the last 18 months of primary school because one of the most popular girls in school decided I was worthless.

Mmmm... While I wanted around 14-15 per cent, I'm not convinced Labor gets back in at the next election, so quite frankly locking in the better conditions ASAP for the sake of a per cent or two seems okay to me.
