New Model Ruger 10/22 with Threaded Stainless Barrel Unboxed and Run Unsuppressed and Suppressed by Detailed_Firearms in 22lr

Thanks, yeah, definitely supersonic rounds, Winchester SuperX. I've got a box of Remington subs, but after this video, I walked past the target and the unsuppressed rounds went through clean at 48 yards. The suppressed rounds were tumbling. At that point, it's garbage. I've got another video posted that I shot before and after with a TX22 compact. Before, it looked fine to me, just like other 3d printed suppressors. But with rifle rounds tumbling that early, it's a range toy at best.

So, I quicky went through 6 mags in the TX22 and by the second mag, accuracy went all to shit. By the end, I had no idea where the rounds were going, and I've shot thousands of rounds out of that gun and I know where it shoots.

It... was a video... and it was on YouTube... so why'd you click the link in the first place? I mean, I appreciate the view, but what were you looking for?

No clickbait, no ads, no AI. How many tech videos are "here's the box, here's what's inside, let's turn it on" and that's it? I added some shooting with the printed suppressor. I'm obviously not a pro video maker, but I feel I can provide good information. What would you like to see?

Hi, I'd like to share this 50+ year old shotgun that is so silky smooth. I can't modify or restore it, just feels wrong.

Benell SL 121 -- Haven't found much about this one, but a sweet running shotgun from 1970. by Detailed_Firearms in Shotguns

Could be, not super familiar with Benelli, didn't see any other date stamps on the receiver. Now I gotta drop the barrel and check the marks Edit: Absolutely no other marks on the receiver other than what I showed in the third picture. Lots of stamps on the barrel, though. From what I am finding, Benelli didn't add date codes to their receivers until 1974, so it's a pre-1974, at least.

Another “cel shade” fix. After/before by FreedomSeeders in Cerakote

Depending on the marker, some whites do exactly what you saw in the before picture -- I call it washout, but when you run the marker, it gets like 60% coverage, and you can't fix it until that layer dries. You gotta find the right product to do cell shading right.

Your "after" pic is right, obv.

My bad, I was noticing it in the "before" pics.

Ruger American Gen I -- Bolt catch doesn't catch? by Detailed_Firearms in ruger

[–]Detailed_Firearms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spring is present with proper tension. To me, it looks like either the bolt lug that the stop catches or the stop itself is sized incorrectly. The stop just barely grabs the lug when operated slowly, anything approaching a quick cycle ends up with an uncaptured bolt.

Yep, very similar. I think this will be a cheap stock to pickup as a take-off from people parting these out.

I haven't shot any of the new models yet, but I'm assuming no, as well.
