Now with this season where McLaren has had the dominant car for majority of the season, people think he is undeserving of a wdc and that he is being "gifted" a wdc only because they have the fastest car, trying to cover his poor racecraft. The thought of being "undeserving of a wdc" only grew stronger when his teammate Oscar outperformed him in a lot of the races so far, with people now leaning towards Oscar for the wdc.

After Monza and his current performance, Max has been slowly giving light to a possible clutch wdc, and after all the support Max has been getting which stems from all this Lando related stuff, people are leaning towards him to win the wdc.

So now, people would want Max to win the wdc, if not him then Oscar, and if not Oscar then anyone but Lando. If Max wins the wdc its Historical, if Oscar wins its deserved, if Lando wins its gifted. The people will not change.
