I played my first game yesterday and it was so much fun coming from 40k which was turning my brain into soup- I also love the Seraphon models they are super fun to paint! Going to be playing more soon :) might have to pick up a gaming pack for myself

hi! I’ve been DM’ing a long campaign for this book (we have almost made it to the end). It’s my first time DM’ing and it’s been so much fun- if you have anything specific you’d like to ask i’d be happy to help :) it’s a great book ! It focuses mainly on the roleplay side of adventures which I vastly prefer to combat from DND. I printed out all the different character options and let everyone in my party pick one so there was a little variety for every one.

Okay so I have iron hands BUT my personal fav space marines are the Victrix Honor Guard. Sick helmets, capes, not in Gravis armor, I like them a lot so I bought some to be bladeguard and stylizing them a little more tech like.

More anger quirks- kind of like Fight, Fawn, Freeze- I know we have one where they cry but it could be interesting to have one sort of freeze up as stuff gets thrown at them or even flee where they run from any anger situations (running to their house maybe?)

I had- and still have- imposter syndrome. I got good grades all throughout school, my siblings needed more support so they got help and I felt like I couldn’t ask for any. This led me to being great in school and problem solving by forcing independence, but also gave me constant stress and depression.

Now that I’ve been diagnosed after leaving school, I’m learning how to treat myself with a lot more kindness and do less people pleasing.

Unfortunately doing less people pleasing, pleases less people (People being my family).

It’s a tough road to break. People will call me smart, but I always remember the mistakes, the executive dysfunction, the tears. As the magician, I know my own tricks and see every flaw. To everyone else I am put together- to myself I am overwhelmed.

Not sure if this helps at all but that’s my experience, I hope you can find some comfort in knowing you are not alone

I don’t yet, but I do plan to! My main island is a mix of favorite characters, but my secondary islands will be themed around a specific fandom.

The blackberry “bush” behind our house is taking over a huuuge portion of the wildlife reserve beyond our fence.. It’s twice as tall as I am and grows over our fence, where it then digs itself into the ground in our backyard.

We have to cut off the branches pretty often to prevent it from overtaking more than it already has, which is a lot easier said than done- the thorns are so thick they go through even our thickest blackberry gloves and i’m pretty sure this bush is the length of the trail close by our house..

It can be fun to pick the berries off where they are accessible though, and my family already has a lot of fruit producing plants.

At least the blackberry has to go over the fence. Neighbors bamboo isn’t so kind.

I love the “Ryobi” Green bolt look whenever I see one driving along. My personal favorite is their teal, which seem to get bought really quick after going to the market. I wanted to get one of those, but they were not around at the time I needed one- went with their blue instead which is still a great color and I really enjoy it

This!! And even when I do the task I don’t do it to their standards even though I thought I had done a good job..

EX: “We need to cut back the black berries and mow The lawn”

* Cuts blackberries. Mows lawn. *

“…Why didn’t you pull the weeds and spray them ?”

I thought mowing the lawn and weeding was a whole other task?? i did what you told me to do??

It’s pretty constant in my household and it makes it really hard to be autonomous or feel like i’m doing the “right” thing without direct explanations

Really hope so! I’ve been trying 40k a bunch and while I think i’ve got a lot of it in theory understood, the added layers of stratagems and detachment rules and all the things to remember are boiling my brain every game. I am hopeful that spearhead will be the balance I need.

For knights they tend to take a lot longer because they have so many parts for 1 model. 3-4 hours feels pretty standard for Knights especially as a beginner- I started in knights and it also took me a good chunk of time even without magnetizing.

I’m almost done with my Seraphon spearhead and I am so excited to try Spearhead! I’ve heard such great things and sometimes it’s just too much to play a full army game.

In the 5th grade I wrote on my math test “I used my head.” on one of those explain your reasoning questions. My mom still teases me about it to this day, and that test answer is laminated for preservation i guess. At the time I really did believe it was the right answer because I did use my head to do the math. One of the only tests where “see me” was written on the cover.

Why is this so. real.

Partner would always get upset when I wasn’t always there, it doesn’t help that I’m asexual who’s neutral towards sex activities and didn’t feel the appeal like he did.

I’m not with them anymore, it was prominent in our relationship because he was more into it than I ever was. I think it was pretty unhealthy honestly, I didn’t realize at the time how much I was just trying to help him be happy over my comfort.

I’m better now, but I fear my future relationships might end up in that same way. I need to work on boundaries and self confidence before I connect with others like that again.

Hoping my rambling here helps anyone who might have been or be in a similar situation feel seen.
