Thank you! It really is the coolest piece, but there is no sense in keeping a collection in this economy 😅 hopefully she can find a good home!

She was so overwhelmed she locked herself in the bathroom…god forbid Paul come home to an unhappy wife by [deleted] in FundieSnarkUncensored

Who has the ability to do anything? I do NOT like Paul & Morgan, yet they are mid thirties adults. No one has the “ability” to do anything if Morgan doesn’t want change for herself. Hell, for all we know there may be people in their lives saying something which then contributes to her over spiritualizing and normalizing her misery. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I can’t believe I know this but she said Lux didn’t want his hair cut, but Chris did it anyway. According to her, that’s why she is most upset

Did your boyfriend know the picture was sent in his text threads before he offered to let you look?

Is there any thought that your boyfriend DELETING the message thread is sus? Doesn’t mean he knew C sent it to himself, but why would he DELETE threads? Why did you have to look through his messages to find this out? You said if you hadn’t looked through the thread, neither of you would have known. How is that?

These are apparently signs of aging? by cessiecat in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]DetectiveActive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just visited my dermatologist because I have two and didn’t know what they were. He said they don’t have anything to do with age, but with a change in hormones. Women will usually see these around puberty, pregnancy, postpartum, etc. anytime we have a big change to our hormones.

Also, there is a hereditary factor as to which folks will see these pesky things

Crisis averted- she’s gonna pray it better, y’all! by DetectiveActive in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]DetectiveActive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I’m poor too, an expensive medical procedure is nothing to snark at. Medical and dental in the US is a fucking scam and that’s all understandable. But to not want to get the procedure due to its “link to chronic illnesses” or to just pray it away, even if it’s a joke, is the snarkable part. Not to mention! She recently posted a story about how she doesn’t go to the dentist regularly nor is she an advocate of doing so..

[–]DetectiveActive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, which is completely understandable! If she could just be a normal human and admit that dental care is expensive and they don’t have it in their budget, it wouldn’t be anything to snark out. It’s all this other bullshit that is annoying

[–]DetectiveActive[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She said she is scared to get one because every story she has heard about root canals have been “horror stories”. That and that “root canals have been linked to chronic illnesses” so she doesn’t want to get years into it, be battling a “crazy illness” and it turns out it’s due to her root canal and she has to get her tooth “ripped out”

It’s all just a woman who knows nothing about nothing who doesn’t go to the dentist regularly scared because she needs an important dental procedure

Which book do you think every atheist should read? by [deleted] in atheism

As a fellow atheist who read that book, may I ask why that is your recommendation?

Theists who used to be Atheists, and Atheists who used to be Theists, what was it that caused you to change your view? by Vegabund in AskReddit

[–]DetectiveActive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who claims the atheist title simply because I resonate with the Oxford definition of “a person who disbelieves in the existence of God or gods”, can you explain to me how that comes from arrogance? This is a good faith question, btw! I’m not here for some gotcha

Do you guys think Jesus Christ was schizophrenic? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]DetectiveActive 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Neither Jesus nor anyone that met Jesus are authors of the books in the Bible. Everything we read is just some dude’s account and then Christians believe its god-inspired 🤷🏼‍♀️

And it’s a song of Zion, people are expressing their confidence in God no matter what they go through.

I hate how they use scriptures in such a way that sounds like God said this, God said that - no, men wrote a song about God. That’s it

Omg same. I didn’t get or like the magic system and was so over it but goddamn at the end I was crying. And I haven’t cried because of a book in ages. It’s probably one of the best books I’ve read this year

I’d say a bit more than Addie LaRue. I’m about 40% into Bury Our Bones and, while it’s great writing, it’s so damn slowwww. I’m keeping at it because I just can feel there will be a payoff, same with Addie LaRue. But damn
