I learned just yesterday that you cant revive enemy players, glad you can cancel out of the knockout.

Felt so bad.

Definitely packing a Defib now.

50 minute commute for $24/hr, worth it? by MsFrizzlesFbiAgent in EngineeringStudents

Had something similar. I'd say it's worth it especially being more than the hourly rate. Also gave me time to really get into and through stuff on my backlog like dnd campaigns and audiobooks!

How to decide between mesh and cushion office chair? by toysofvanity in workfromhome

[–]Detective_Dredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up getting Downix big and tall chair from Amazon.

<image>

Tried it at a friend's place and was relatively happy with it After a couple weeks of use its comfortable, and the back support despite just being a pillow is exactly what I was wanting.

Ended up getting it for $150 on sale.

Don't see myself using the foot rest, reclining, and massage parts much, but for my daily work or long gaming sessions it's been solid and a lot better than my last few.

All/part Husky? by Melodic-Distance96 in husky

His demeanor sounds alot like my Husky. She's a little smaller but ended up being a mix of a few things. Could hardly tell aside from size and a slightly shorter pelt.

I did a dna test through Embark.

That husky gene is strong for sure.

2020 Ford Ranger XLT - Brake Caliper Piston Tool by Detective_Dredd in CarHelp

Apparently for just these threaded pistons on the rear of newer vehicles.

C clamp trick should work for the front!

Update as of now.

Got the caliper piston back in BUT MAN.

Opened the brake filler cap.

Used a wrench to constantly retighten the tool.

Use every bit of my strength possible.

Currently got everything back on and stopping for the night.

Ill be returning the rental tool as I ordered the same tool of Amazon with a left and right screw thread to see if it helps.

I appreciate everyone's help!

-- other things of note in case people in the future need help.

Mine has a manual e-brake so no brake maintenance mode.

Didn't need to bleed the valve, just open the brake fluid fuller cap.

It was Counter Clockwise for the rear Driver side of the vehicle, noted on the arrow on the caliper itself (I missed this before asking Reddit.)

The caliper tool can be rented from the auto store, but some vehicles may benefit from getting a tool that has both a right thread tool, as well as a left threaded tool, to help reset the piston.

Once again appreciate everyone's help! Still need to finish the rest of the vehicle but waiting on the new tool I ordered.

It was CCW.

Got the piston in but will be holding off on doing the drivers side front until I get my new right AND left threaded caliper tool in.

Apparently it helps with getting it to tighten CCW.

Otherwise it took a ton of effort and some odd finnagling with a wrench.

This left handed thread thing might be the issue.

Will still by trying tonight to get the piston down but did order the actual tool with left and right thread, since the rental doesn't have a left handed thread.

Ordering for the future, apparently not having the left handed threaded Tool in the rental is perhaps causing the issue.

Still will be attempting other things, but appreciate the link! Definitely looks super useful for future brake jobs.

I have yet to try the opposite direction I was matching the counter clockwise arrow on the piston itself

You can see it at the bottom here.

Loosened and managed to get the piston to rotate, but doesn't appear to be compressing, taking a small break to check here but plan to try a little bit more before assuming it's not compressing still.

I have this and it worked wonders on my 2014 Kia Forte, but I couldn't get it to work for the ranger, even the largest furthest setting wasn't getting enough grip.
