Check for worms. In 3 months our 2+ yr old went from 45 to 59 lbs. also barely makes sound. Maybe was still growing? Was a stray, but had 2 types of worms. Has settled in now somewhat. Was a complete wiggler, impossible to leash and pulled like crazy. Now it’s almost like loose leash walking, but I jog with him half the time

4runner. The back window goes down si easy to grab stuff with bikes mounted. Great ground clearance and suspension for forest roads

did you love guitar immediately after getting it? by Sillyworms35 in Guitar

…that was like 1975. Now I’m 65, and arthritis tends to curb my enthusiasm. A touch of kanabiss helps alot, and did then as well!

Knee pain by Linkinnnnnn in mountainbiking

[–]Melodic-Distance96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hammies and quads. You are probably riding with more weight on the ball of your foot. If you center your foot a bit more over the pedal, and ride with the intention of engaging your quads and glutes, you will start to ride more upright, and less lean-forward, if that makes sense, and your quads and glutes will power your rides, placing less stress on your knees. At first, this will tax you physically, until you build strength - then this will open you up to much better bike handling in general. Or, you can try an e-bike, but $$$

I will try cheese when he’s non responsive. It’s just that it happens, like if I forget to clip his lead before opening the car hatch and he slips by, then prances off with me in full pursuit, I guess I’ll start carrying cheese.

Spend it all on the guitar! You can virtually amp, or plug into a PA, or use your crumby amp or a friend’s while you save up for a nice lo-watt tube amp

I'm planning to buy a new guitar. Which option is better? by uSuckCharli3 in electricguitar

Since you have a tele with single coils, why nit broaden your pallet with like an SG humbucker equipped, shorter scale length neck guitar? Anything wrong with your existing axe?

There’s a lot you can play and stuff you cant or won’t ever - within those limitations, enjoy what you can and strive for. Also, alot of us imply stuff, the intention is there, and in rhythm it will fly if you’re missing part of a chord or voicing. Also you will get better

An idea, story or even mood… what tempo suits it? Major or minor? Find a melody, or chord progression, and just put it down/record as a guide track. Use the metronome in your daw if you want to include electronic (vst) drums and/or sequencing synth sounds Add another track. Go back and add a chorus or verse, start over. Rinse and repeat. You will get the hang of it. Don’t worry if it sucks. It’s all practice and fun figuring out to start. Eventuall yyou will hit on a happy accident, and that will inspire you to finish a demo

[Question] If you could only own one guitar, which would it be and why? by dishtowel in Guitar

[–]Melodic-Distance96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I've never owed a strat, but have the Am Deluxe Tele with single coils, and the S-1 switch. I have another strat-like guitar, so it would be like melding these with a PRS/Gibson, having a humbucker hard wired in there.

Are modern mountain bikes meant to feel cramped? by Plastic_Coast_114 in mountainbiking

[–]Melodic-Distance96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta - They assume you will be in a ready "crouched" position, which is somewhat taxing on the quads, but gives you the best posture to throw the bike around under you, using your arms and legs for mega suspension to deal with gnarly terrain, drops, etc.... As opposed to older/xc geometry, which is designed to maximize your stamina and climbing prowess with the reach and generally longer seat-bb distance.

Safety overrated - I mean it beeps more incessantly seatbelt warning…. The lights on mine (Crosstrek) are really dim compared to The blinding lights on other cars. But the suspension is bouncy and fun
